He has had both Achilles operated on, etc. So for him to put those numbers on the Reign Man is truly amazing. Agreed. God’s starting 5 would have Bird at the 3. Gifted passer and underrated defender. His basketball IQ was unmatched. Lebron, MJ, Bird, Duncan, Olajuwon is my starting 5.
The young crowd, and especially the Jordan lovers, have zero clue how incredible Larry was - he even made MJ look stupid. Larry wasn't flashy - which looks to be the emphasis in the game today instead of playing correct basketball - but his intelligence on how to more and make the defense look dumb is unmatched by any player ever.

People don't realize Larry guarded some of the most athletic and best offense people of all time. Give them buckets but also not getting scorched right back. A very good defender.
James Worthy was asked the difference between guarding Jordan and Bird. He said, “Jordan makes you look slow”, “Bird makes you look stupid.”
And Cooper said that when MJ didn't have the ball, you could pretty much ignore him.
