As the NATO summit 2024 kicked off today in Washington DC, Ukraine is seeking increased support from alliance members. Yesterday, US President Joe Biden announced a major air defence package for Ukraine - just two days after Russia launched a wave of airstrikes on Ukraine that resulted in the deaths of at least 38 people. Meanwhile, NATO is expected to unveil a new military support package worth $43 billion for Ukraine at this summit, where Ukraine's bid for NATO membership will also be discussed. However, Ukraine's allies are cautious about its membership aspirations. President Biden is skeptical about providing Ukraine with any assurances, while Germany is also wary of NATO making excessive commitments. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma brings you the full story.
