  • We love Michael Singer’s work. As long as he and CZcams allow us to post these videos, we will.
We do not receive ad revenue from these videos, but CZcams may.
If you would like to learn more about Michael Singer’s work, here are a few suggestions:
    - Every Sunday, Monday & Thursday, he releases talks at www.tou.org.
    - Every Sunday, Monday & Thursday night, he gives a live talk at his Temple of the Universe in Alachua, Florida. Anyone can attend for free.
He’s written several books. They are phenomenal, even the ones written in the seventies. (We will receive a commission if you purchase books through these links.)

If you’re wondering what Mickey’s saying at the beginning and end of each talk, it is:
Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.
Thank you for visiting. Peace, my friend.

(8:20) "So the first thing you have to do, if you want to grow spiritually, (really) is to practice ignoring your mind. It is going to say things to you. You must not listen....." (9:23) "the first step, if you're going to go somewheres, and it's a killer, is that you have to stop listening. what that takes is a deep level of faith and surrender...."

Perfect timing to hear this......"ignore the mind" & the heart as they continuously fluctuate ❤
Spent many years silencing what is not naturally silent. Thank you! ❤

My path has been surrender for many years now. Then you show up and pluck strings of inner knowing, and I am filled with gratitude.
A few moments ago you said, "Blow me to you God" and I burst into tears. What a perfect way to express the spirit of surrender!
Thanks for everything Michael. You've got a friend in me. ❤️

This lesson I must say it confuses me the most. Especially now at crossroads. Do I leave? Do I stay? Do I wait? Is non-doing really doing nothing? I quiet the mind and the heart to a whisper, nay, to silence. But waiting and not doing anything is also a decision. So what is an intention?

Look up his talks on surrender it is not what people think it is. It is neither doing or non doing but being done. An example he uses is imagine of for centuries we were told we had to consciously breath or we would die (doing) one person decided to stop and died (non doing) another just forgot/ didn't focus on it/ let go and he discovered the body breaths on its own! That is surrender. You don't stop doing things but you serve what's in front of you. It takes practice but as you (ego) becomes less it becomes more clear.

I found, for myself, that the most important thing is to practice letting go...letting go of whatever it is...thought, emotion, situation...let it go and be. The meditation book called 30 Days to Discover Who I Am by Harper Daniels was helpful.

I've listened to most of them, nothing specific on that but if you keep listening to them all they really help with that.

Mickey doesn't really get into the details about specific behavior. He lumps everything together because although we may all react with different behaviors, the reason behind the behavior is the same. It's because we're not okay inside and we're trying to make it okay. And the technique to handle it is also the same. Remain in your Seat of Consciousness. Relax and release the disturbance.
You might enjoy this talk, czcams.com/video/qq57w55jNUk/video.htmlsi=e15PlUxkmJrAT334 , around minute 52 he talks about how to turn your thoughts around. For example, when your mind says "Nobody likes me.", turn it around and say "Everybody loves me." Give it a try.

Hmmm, How to determine the point/purpose/pole-star, if we don't listen to the mind of the heart?

So, I understand letting go of the whims of the heart and mind, what is the star/intention? Knowing we’re complete? Letting go of all fear and desire? Living a God directed life? What are we focused on? I’m assuming living our lives through Concious (spiritual) thought, not limited and ever changing monkey mind and fickle heart. I just wonder what he would say is the star we follow.

Perhaps start by focusing on not needing to know. Every time your mind needs to know, focus on your somatic experience. Thought is thought. One of the mind's myriads of tricks is getting lost in righteous thought. It's very insidious.
