Fire destroys 23 units in apartment building in Aurora

I'm one of those residents. The fire alarms never went off, and The Preserve at City Center/AMC is trying to wash their hands of this and refusing to reimburse me for their blatant negligence

Gosh, prayers to the residents. Glad to hear no one got hurt but sorry for the loss of belongings.

Lightning? It could have stayed up in the rafters/attic and not impinged into the living areas where the detectors are.
