Great video. It was perfect speed and I actually work in a deli at a grocery store. I appreciate you making this I hope I'm able to help if i have someone who is deaf. I hate that people aren't usually served by someone who can sign so they either write it down or don't bother .that's just wrong . Thanks again.
Just wow ❤️ keep doing what u doing much love!! 😊
Awesome! Thanks for making this vid!
This helps me a lot. Thanks a lot for uploading.
As a Native American I find that question offensive 😅 don't be worrying about whether or not if I have a reservation... I'm here, deal with it😂
This is so awesome thank you so much!!!!
Keep making MORE videos...thanks
I appreciate your video☺
Hi, Juliet. I really love yourASL videos. I would like to learn to introduce myself to a deaf person and to ask them about music, colors and hobbies. Happy weekend. Greetings from México.
thank you so much for this video i just found your channel on youtube i work in a restaurant and one of my regular is deaf so this will help me communicate with them thanks ❤️❤️
Watching from London UK. 🇬🇧👍👍
Excelente video!! Saludos desde Perú 😁
thank you!
helpfull although you sign soo fast!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful video! This is going to be so helpful for me at work. I want to learn ASL as my second language, and videos like this have help me so much. I hope you keep making videos😄
You signed 30 not 20. Now a days people use the letters B for breakfast, L for lunch, and D for dinner.
Hi! I'm a server at a restaurant and I've been trying to learn sign language since I had regulars who were hard of hearing but I have a few questions. I've seen different variations for "order" in a few ASL videos; one from the ASL App and the other from one of Chella Man's ASL videos. Are there multiple ways to say "order" that are all acceptable like "waitress" or do the variations have different meanings?
Yo sé la Lengua de Señas Peruana (LSP) y hay algunas similitudes, pero otras como "Dirty" aquí en Perú eso significaría Cerdo. :D
Is it rude to only say “want water?” Until you learn more(like only signing those words)
Hey, do you know Jesus? There is a joy that's in you that just seems to come from him...
@@JulietLyan That is so awesome!! Again thanks for the video I really appreciate it!! This is my first year taking ASL and I'm loving it! I work at Chick-fil-A, and every now and then see a dead person, so I just wanted to know a couple of these signs! Keep doing what you're doing it's so cool!!
I am a credentialed ASL teacher. What qualifies you to "teach" ASL?
@Railya Izzayeva my concern is, as other ASL teachers, is students still learning and trying to tesch without knowing the proper methods or sometimes the correct signs.
I understand it’s important to have proper credentials and would on most accounts agree with you. In this case though I see no harm in this. If someone is hoping to learn just a few individual signs, an 8 minute video works great for them, especially if it’s not possible for them to attend classes or do extensive online learning. As for qualifications, if she signs ASL fluently and on a regular basis she would most likely be using up to date and correct signs. If not, this is a community after all, there are always people who will politely point out mistakes.
I hope you have a wonderful winter break and thank you for all that you do as a teacher. These times are incredibly hard for education workers and I thank you personally for the work you have and are doing. Have a great day!
@@cynthiaannkaniski3870 I'm learning sign right now I'm losing my hearing and because of covid I can't take classes so I'm trying to learn online and It's hard to find accredited teachers online...I have had to relearn the correct signs over again once discovering they are wrongly taught. I just wish people like yourself or Bill from lifeprint had more videos to learn from. Atleast during covid, but I know you have to make a living :D
Too fast for beginners
Juliet has a good definition , sentence and American sign language , but she uses an English language. Mmm
I don't know if this video is for servers trying to communicate with deaf people or showing deaf people how to communicate with a server that knows ASL. Weird.
I love that there's no sound. It makes you experience the video as a deaf person would, thus making the whole video much more engrossing
