@@Pingevin1 No he didn't, he indirectly killed her by saving Berthold, since that Titan that ate Eren's mum, was going to eat Berthold, so in order to avoid this, Eren using his coordinate ability sent that titan to his house, but it unforunately ended up killing his mother. If Berthold were to die back them, then the rumbling wouldn't of occured.
But the question here is, Eren wanted the rumbling to happen more than saving his mum since he didn't have to save berthold. However, Eren's mum was probably going to die anyway since she was under the rubble, so I think, Eren couldn't do anything to save his mum...even with all his abilities. This is why he put all his rage in blaming Reiner and going ahead with the rumbling.

the fact that they wrote this song in season 1 and at that time manga was not even near the basement reveal. They foreshadowed rumbling, eren’s death, mikasa killing eren and many more things only through the songs since s1. Pure genius

Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius, thanks to him for composing so many magnificent and brilliant soundtracks for Attack on Titan as well as many other animes. This soundtrack gives me goosebumps and the energy in this soundtrack is awesome. Glad they brought back these fabulous soundtracks in the Final Season and this ost made the scene when Rumbling arrived in Marley so epic. Seriously, German sounds so good when it comes to these kind of songs. Also, somebody gotta ask Sawano how he names these Osts, lol.

@@notsocoolguy3357 IKR, the thing is the situation at which it's played, In S1 and S2 anything could happen, so this had this mysterious begins and the triumphant end refering Eren the hope of humanity, in S3 it was bit more heroic as to show how much Eren became the hero for humanity especiallyduring battle of Shiganshina , But now things are completely different, Now this has the chaotic orchestration that gives the sense of Horrors of Rumbling.

I ADORE how this song gets more discordant and chaotic every time Hiroyuki Sawano revisits it, like an exact parallel to the story and how it's devolving into pure apocalyptic chaos incarnate. The ultimate culmination of Attack on Titan's musical DNA has arrived at this moment. There's nothing else to say except the AOT soundtrack (and AOT itself) will go down as one of the best pieces of art I've ever had the privilege of listening to and watching evolve over the years.
Masterful. This is a composer who knows his craft down to the bone, he knows what his job is to portray and he didn't miss a single goddamn beat. Hiroyuki Sawano is a true legend.
It is fitting considering the chaotic cataclysm that is the Rumbling.
Feel like I should add: if you're thinking about dropping a reply like "not after that ending" please don't. If you hate the ending, cool. That's your opinion. I'm sharing my excitement for the anime and manga which I personally love, and I don't need to hear about how much you hate the ending with no purpose except complaining. You can keep it to yourself and continue on with your day if you hate it
I've seen the same copy paste "not after that ending" type statements so many times now that at this point, I have literally 0 interest in debating over it. I would rather celebrate all the good that Attack on Titan brings

@@baguszimi3525 You forgot the version, that was with Mika Koyabashi just like in the first one, but there the background vocals were clearly sung before and after the chorus. You can search for it and you will see that the sound had some inspiration to make the version and this, respectively.
They removed certain part of Eliana's vocals from where the lyrics depicts humanity as a cattle
But in they only used "is that the creator or the destroyer?" and "what will we find beyond the horizon?" Which depicts Eren's character and his intentions.
So Eren is the Final Boss and is his soundtrack.

@@prajapatihardik1149 Actually, the soundtrack makes sense in season 1 context too. For example "the earth rumbles and turns red" refers to the appearance of the Colossal Titan and the rumbling from his appearance and him kicking down the walls. (Keep advancing the story and the lyrics make sense)
Aside from the spectacular song, the one thing that I believe isn't getting enough attention here is the top-tier editing. The scene choices and how long for each to match every bit of the song are just on another level. So damn amazing I can't describe it. I enjoyed it so much. Maybe the kind of music here resulted in better synchronization of the music and the video.
Big thanks to everyone involved in making such astonishing work of art. It's just beautiful.

"The earth is blushing and roaring. People will remember this tragedy" I wish they included those lines from the original. Blushing is a reference to the enormous bloodshed and roaring is a reference to the pending footsteps of doom approaching the rest of the world. AOT is just the GOAT of anime. Music is S tier, and the plot is SSS+ tier.

Destroying Marley with the rumbling would have been an enough warning to get peace for Paradise for a long time. But destroying the world ? Even Eren knew he was killing millions of innocent people and that he was doing something horribly wrong and bad, and if you read the manga, you know the reason why Eren did that is the worst reason possible and the most childish one, so he really has no excuse. If you're anime only, then I won't spoil his motivation

Downright terrifying,lacks the epic-type feeling and looses the snares in most of the parts and is less triumphant.
Fits for the horrors of the rumbling. Fits for season 4.
These are the Variations of Ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn,
I could go further and add other variants like XL-TT,Bauklotze, AOTFs1 and AOTFs3 but I feel like these are enough.
These themes represent what Eren feels in every season and it's mind blowing on how accurate these are.
You’ve hit the nail on the head! I wish more people talked about the change in instrumentation that happens with each rendition, because that tells a story in and of itself.
The first version used more edm/synth instruments to invoke the nature of the Titans, but still paired with classic rock to invoke the humans fighting back. Two entities fighting each other.
The second version still has these elements, but adds in more orchestral themes and instruments (along with an emphasis on a solo string) to signify a great turning of the tides, but also a level playing field.
Then this third version. There’s a solo string that’s ominous and sinister; purposefully “out of place” and disorienting as it carriers through the piece (I like to think the solo string from S3 and S4 represents Eren and his role. The same effect occurs in AOTF-s1 and in the S4 0sk rendition, during Grisha’s confrontation with Frieda). The bass of the soundtrack sounded like it was turned up, to a point where I couldn’t differentiate between the sound effects of the rumbling and the music, and that’s scary awesome! The constant percussion gives me that war drum vibe; the enemy is getting closer. And the way it ends, leading up to the “to be continued” screen, is so unnerving and spells doom.

What do you think about the instrumental/metal-laced version of it in Season 4, mostly during Episode "Assault"? For me, it's a version that's 100% worth noting and mentioning. It shows the despair of Marley, not knowing what they signed up to fight against.

Just because the other tracks have the leitmotif doesn’t mean they’re versions of this song. You listed the three versions.
Listening to this next to the original version of the Attack Titan theme shows just how much had changed about Eren and the series. What was once combative and heroic is now horrific and devastating. The eerie strings replace electronic percussion and synth. What was a song of hope and courage through fear, is now a theme of fear itself before cataclysmic apocalyptic devastation. Masterful storytelling through music.

the cuts to Eren talking to Mikasa in front of the camp, and then later the cut to child him stabbing those men, in the midst of the rumbling.... pure genius, I got mad chills, god. The composers and the animators and everyone on the anime team understood all of the meaning behind the rumbling, and behind Eren's character, so well, and this official amv shows that so clearly. This has always been my favorite song on the soundtrack, and this remix is no exception. God I love AoT 🥲

This ost is the perfect representation of how much the show changed from "Attack on Titan" to "Attacking Titans". How such an heroic theme came to darker tone and terrific notes. But vocals shows, that there's still a light in such a dark period showed in Season 4 period. Sawano and Yamamoto are geniuses

The face of the attack titan in the end just chills me to my spine. It feels as if the rage of a young and hopeful child who wanted nothing but freedom and happiness but instead he lost everything he had to wars, greed. He was known as the hope of humanity, but maybe the humanity never had any hope, and this monster is the result of never ending cycle of hatred, that will consume each and everyone on earth. It's tragic but poetic in a way.
