She’s been on for more than a month . Started when his video starts shot from a different perspective. He never advertises his personal life just in dribs and drabs .
Watching this while right up the road in Sterling, and I'll be driving right past it in like ten minutes. I've been through that tunnel more times than I can count. I really hope they preserve it so we can all continue to enjoy for years to come.
They converted some tunnels in WISCONSIN to bike trails, they put doors on the tunnels and closed them after it freezes. The tunnels would freeze shut and wouldn't unthaw over summer. So the doors keep them from freezing, then in spring they open them up for the bikes again. Years ago the railroads had a tunnel keeper live on one end of the tunnel over winter. He would open door to the tunnels on schedule walk to the other end open those doors wait for the train to pass, close the door and walk thru close the other doors until next train
Love that you wear your own merch lol. Also love your hat. 😎 The town probably wants to renovate it so ppl can stop littering and vandalizing it. But it would be cool if they had local artists design a mural.
Having artists draw murals is a great way to prevent graffiti and vandalism. All the mailboxes in my city used to get targeted with graffiti constantly until they had an artist design a collage of area codes into a graffiti like design that looks really cool. They covered all the mailboxes with the design and now you never see graffiti on mailboxes anymore. Even when the idiots try it just blends into the design so you cant even notice it. So the idiots with spray paint just gave up. Another spot under a bridge was so bad for graffiti on the massive concrete pillars and not the nice kind of graffiti either. The city ended up inviting artists with actual talent to do murals and nice looking graffiti on them if they wanted to. They even made it into a skate park under the bridge and put in lights so people can go at night. Tourists even come to check it out now, as a kid we even went there as part of a school trip. These areas have no issues with graffiti anymore its just beautiful art now.
Love the mineral build up and water flow - just beautiful. Great video again Post. Have been following you for a couple of years now and you sound so relaxed, confident and happy ❤ thanks for sharing
Great video... was surprised at one point when you turned around and I saw a flash of hot pink and I was like, is that someone standing there? Lol had to rewind...yup!
Another great adventure with P10! Loved it 💯✔️👍 Thank you young man, for taking us places some of us could never get to... OR through! 😂 I appreciate you so much, and I worry about you sometimes, too. Glad you have a buddy with you lately. 👏👏👏👍 Be safe; I think you are always prepared. 😉 PS the echo at the end was a nice ending.
The Wachusett reservoir is linked via an underground pipeline to the Quabbin reservoir. The water flows between them via siphon only, there are no pumps or anything. Always found that to be pretty interesting. The Quabbin reservoir is a pretty cool place to explore too. There are a couple of dams there and quite a few trails.
Hard to tell from looking at the vid, but it's most likely limestone as well. Hope you're not a Cowboys fan there, Tex....Brady did it again. You do NOT give him that much time and the ball at the end of a game like that.
One simple test you can do to tell if it's limestone is to drip some mild acid on it, if it's limestone, the acid will foam and bubble, because limestone is made from organic deposits from sea creatures. That same test also works for marble, which is basically limestone that's been heavily compressed during mountain building or cooked near a magma chamber, but it's still the same material that will react with the acid. Another test for limestone is if you look really closely, you'll often see some intact bits of shells that didn't fully decompose before turning into limestone and became fossilized.
2 things: First, introduce us to your friend. 2nd if you have photoshop it would be cool to superimpose the Maine abandoned train inside of the tunnel. Just some weird thoughts. Loved the video Post 10!
I don't know the history of this tunnel, yet up in BC Canada, we have Othello Tunnels which were original train tunnels, that were converted into walkways. They had experienced heavy flooding and a wind storm that damaged the pathways. The year it was built was 1914. So might want to investigate the history of your tunnel.
Hiya Postie. Interesting video. Too bad that bridge is gone. I would have liked to have seen it. Nice seeing more remnants of the past. Thank you for taking us with you. Stay safe.
I thought the footpath had too many people walking along it and all the grass died because of this I would go up to the end of the concrete end of tunnel but no further, the rest of the tunnel will scare the crap out of me, it's just too dark for me, even with the light at the end of the tunnel
Maybe they were able to get a skid steer up there from some direction other than the normal trail. When I want something like that sign to stay up, I have the nut tack welded to the bolt. Big washer also needed there!
If there was a lot of people in there I’d bring my awesome sound system and just play a train sound and being a real train horn with a giant spot light. 😂 even though there’s no tracks, that’s not gonna stop people from running anyway.
Bro you seem to appreciate graffiti.....you should try your hand at it. Here where I live in Bristol in the UK is where Banksy is from.....the city has plenty and it's beautiful.
I love that Bansky shredded the painting that went up for auction. The story behind it is rarely told. Everyone hears the same cookie cutter version out of media, but not a single one of them answer the most important questions regarding the entire event. Then they rub it in his face that it made the painting more valuable.
@@tribalismblindsthembutnoty124 whats the real story? Seems like it was purposely not fully shredded to me. Even the. Ideo of him making it showed bin holding the soldering iron like a pencil, it would have totally burned his hand the way he was holding it if it was actually on. I saw Banksy posters in Walmart and was conversing with am employee there who was actually am art major, and we discussing how the fact that the art was being sold there was kind of the antithesis of the message the art had to begin with, in a sense it contradicted itself.
I'm glad they decided to save the tunnel instead of just tearing it down or filling it in so it's not technically Gone Forever it'll just lose the sort of wild and Untamed uniqueness about it
As always, your video was really cool. I bet on a hot summer day this would be refreshing to walk thru. I'd even like to walk thru naked. LOL The water dripping on you. Thanks Post 10 for sharing.
I'm assuming that's Rt 70 in Clinton. Funny, I used to live there for 8 years, drove up and down that street to Worcester and I never knew of the train tunnel. I did know of the damn as when 9/11 happened there were military personnel hanging out at the damn because it was feared an enemy would poison the water with something. One cold night I brought over a box of coffee and a pile of donuts to the soldiers there. Theres nothing more heart pounding to see several soldiers in full gear come out of the woods with automatic rifles pointed at your car. Anyway, they realized I was a regular townie who appreciated their help and wanted to give something back to help keep them warm. They appreciated the coffee and treats and said thank you. I went on my way and they disappeared back into the woods.
Massachussets sounds like the UK. In this country we can't do anything. The railway here spends £millions on fencing. Most of the disused infrastructure is fenced in or bricked up. Great informative explore.
The Snoqualmie Tunnel in Washington state is 2.3 miles long with NO LIGHTING whatsoever. Plus it curves a bit so you can't see the other end when you head in. Open to the public in the summer but it has solid doors which are closed in the winter to protect it against freeze/thaw cycles.
I live about 20 minutes away from the clinton resevoir, I never knew there was a tunnel and all that there, theres also what looks like some supporta that likely attached to that tunnel if you hop on 62, they will be on the left after the 4-way stop with train tracks
Post there is the Phipps loop tunnel on the rail trail in Holliston you might be interested in. It was built in 1847. The interior is all brick and looks perfect for its age. About a mile down the trail is an 8 arch train viaduct also built at the same time.
In Brockville Ontario Canada there is a similar tunnel. It runs under city hall there and they have completely redone it and it is so cool. There are leds and speakers and they make a steam train go through the tunnel using the lights and sound. It was also our first ever rail line.
As someone who has spent some time on the Great Allegheny Passage, I totally agree with Post....that tunnel would make an excellent addition to a "rails-to-trails" trail. "A good state like Pennsylvania?" Say whaaaaa. As a resident of Westmoreland County (Pgh. metro area), I can tell you that we don't have a State Legislature or Governor in Harrisburg......we've got a couple of punchlines. I see you have an accomplice with you now, good for you.
Anyone notice he was followed into the tunnel? Look, when turns around.
Yup
You can her twice
She’s more in shot at the far end when he opens the gates . Pink top . Odd that he never mentions her .

Never trust Google if they say the place is open to the public. Anybody can fill in that information.
You could have stopped after "Never trust Google."
Homie rakes open culverts and has a minor speech disorder... googling info is his way. Show me da wae ;)
Agree with that, last year in my area couple of guys drive with google maps from Yakutsk to Magadan and froze to death.
@@TsunauticusIV I didn't notice any speech disorder

"We're going to make the whole area smell like a fart. Pretty cool!" Damn that was funny!

Post10 sporting his own spider shirt. Well done sir, well done!

for some reason this felt really creepy, with random figures in the distance
So I'm not the only one seeing other people when he said no one is there . Shits creepy
I think some rando was trying to follow Post but gave up when he got deep into the tunnel because of the water.
I think that’s his girlfriend, she even records a bit during 17:36 lol
In Texas the mineral most often responsible for stalactites and stalactites is limestone. What is it where you live Post 10?
Hard to tell from looking at the vid, but it's most likely limestone as well. Hope you're not a Cowboys fan there, Tex....Brady did it again. You do NOT give him that much time and the ball at the end of a game like that.
Most likely limestone. It's fairly prevalent near the service in the Northeast.
