I can’t believe how much a riding story would inspire me. Unfortunately I ride at a riding school so they are closed but they are opening on June 23rd, I’m really excited to go back because you have made be want to give 110% in everything I do, thank you ❤️
Lola-Rose June 25th is my birthday.... That’s the day my Riding Academy opens up! We are going to be doing jumping, bareback jumping and as much as we can fit in our 3 hr time limit! I’m so excited... since it’s my bday on that day, I get to play a few rounds of Chase Me Charlie. I’m soooo excited! Wish me good luck!!! Bye 👋🏻

I honestly can’t tell you how reassuring it is to hear that someone who has competed at the level you have still has the same doubts and ‘up and down relationships’ with the sport that I do (at a much lower level)! I have had my doubts about my riding future and have actually quit once before but always seem to come back to horses. It sounds strange but it actually motivated and inspired me to hear that riders I look up to, such as yourself, have the same thoughts and doubts that I do as I can relate to that and if I can relate, then why can’t I push myself and try to ride at a high level too, right? Sounds really cheesy but this channel has really helped me focus and has motivated me to push myself. I have a lot of respect for you and especially for exposing your feelings throughout your riding career in this video. Keep making content, you’re very inspiring! X

Best video I’ve watched yet! So many people describe their troubles but not what’s really happening, only what you see, and I think how you told us your difficulties in the equestrian world was perfect. I’ve had some trouble getting my confidence back for riding recently and this really helped me. I don’t feel so stuck in a mental ditch now. Thank you so so so much Erin! Love you! 🥰🥰🥰
I relate so much ❤️ I competed almost every weekend from like 11-16 and by the time I was 17 I was so over it. I just wanted to be normal and not ride everyday. I got out of horses for 5 years and I felt lost 😂 I just got back into it and I feel like myself again. Loved hearing about your journey, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!! ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I gave up my horse and riding for 2 years as I felt like I wasn't good enough or ever going to reach my goal. By giving up it made me realise how much I miss it and want to succeed in riding. Although the virus has stopped me from buying a horse, I was lucky enough to get lessons once a week to keep me riding and learning as much as I can for when I get my own horse again and finally start competing. This video was so inspiring to watch

What an extensive and inspiring story Erin! Thank you for sharing all of these heartfelt experiences and for creating such overall helpful content. Recently broke my foot (stepped on by a spooking horse) but because of it, I discovered your binge-worthy channel, and it really is giving me so much to look forward to as soon as I am able to get back to the stables. You are such a talented young woman, from riding, to personal fitness, to words of encouragement - and I'm sure this doesn't even scrape the surface. You really are a role model.
i wish i was lucky enough to have a horse, literally cry every day because I can’t and after loosing my share i feel stuck and like my journey has shattered. i’m only young but its all i want in life and the only thing that gives me motivation 🥺 x
Yeah it sucks but we can still get our first horse later in life... A lot of great horsemen did
My pony, Copper, (chestnut in photo with me on in green) had an abscess in the front of his hoof, I thought that was the time I was going to loose my best friend, the vet cut half of his hoof away and each day we had to drain it and when we did all I did was cry, he is such a warrior and I remember wrapping his hoof in different coloured sparkly vet wrap!! After a year of hoof cutting and drainage as well as box rest, he was ready to ride, I love him to pieces and I'm so proud of him x

Omg I can totally relate! I started riding at age 11 (I’m 13 now) and made some friends my age at the riding school. I always (and still do) feel very behind because I’ve only been riding two years, and I live very far away from the barn so I can’t ride very often let alone own a horse. It’s really discouraging because I have been riding for almost two years yet I have only just started trotting off the lunge line because I hardly ever get the chance to ride.
I’ve had the same experience over 2020! I walked away from horses for over 6 years and just rekindled my passion, no-obsession with them!!

i never necessarily lost my passion but i had to stop riding for about 4/5 years due to health issues :( i made the hard decision to sell my heart horse because she needed someone who could give her more attention than me. turns out she's now in her first home from when she was fresh off the track! she's an ottb. she's doing so much better and she's happier than ever! now I'm trying to get back into riding but since I'm older i have to focus on other things such as bills and whatnot first lol :( I'm really hoping on getting another horse in the next 6 months or so and i can't wait!! I'm literally so so excited and watching your videos are giving me so much more motivation

You and this esme are my Idols I have two ponies but they are a bit too old to ride so I just clean their stables out and groom them but my dream is to get A horse when I’m older that I can ride even though I do have riding lessons now and also thank you for always being positive you’re a really good rider❤️🥰🦕👯♀️☺️🦋🥝

I stopped riding for a year and came back stronger as well. Still loved horses all the way, but at a point I realized it felt more like duty than pleasure to come to the barn every day. Took a year away and now I'm just looking forward to every ride again.

I used to ride at the start of high school and I didn’t stay at it long - fast forward now to me being 22 going on 23 this month, I’m back at it and I am never stopping again 🤍
Currently in the falling out of love stage myself, were in racing and I ways loved the home part not the racing but a bereavement made me the person to do it all. A combination of costs going up and a few unlucky, bad horses has now taken the fun out of it for me. It's a hard decision as I love it and been at it since I was 8 but the time effort and money dont seem worth it anymore
I have definitely felt that way of riding before and had to quit it when I was 6 - 7 and just started back up at 10 am now 12 and learning a lot on a very lazy horse but he is my world just like ur dani boy xx

i used to do saddle seat and i started hating it.. keep in mind i did it for 6 years.. and then i quit. for 1.5 years i went horse-less. i was pretty much over it. but then my moms friend built. bran and had a trainer so now i’ve been doing hunter jumper and i could be happier 🤪💖

There harder to own then you think! Because your litturly there slave not being mean but you can’t just get a horse to ride you have to take care of it .you can’t just jump on and gallop on a beach you need to start some where

Ah, this makes me nostalgic of my horse riding journey 😭
I used to love it so much but I had to quit bc it was so expensive and my family couldn’t afford it. Plus I was at a boarding high school so it was too far away anyway...
Now I’m in university, thinking of giving it a try again

i recently fell off a horse because someone else in the arena (arena is huge so it can have a lot of people in it) was lunging their horse who HATED the horse I was on.
i have never been on the horse i was on because trainer made by friend and I switch horses for a few min. i was riding bareback when the horse on the lunge line escaped and charged at the horse and I. I saw and was emergency dismounting, when the crazy horse was already there and reared. as i was swinging my leg over the back of the horse i was riding the horse reared and I fell off under her.

i still get moments where i tell my horse " imma sell u to the amish if u don't quit it idiot " but i have mares and a stud like gelding on the ground and they're pains sometimes. but i was riding whenever my grandparents told me that school was shut down for the rest of the year because of ithe pandemic and i was on cloud nine and i never cantered until i was 10 because i had a bad first experience when i was 3 and i now am cantering bareback, no reins, ( sometimes no helmet but this horse is like- 17 and doesn't have any kick what so ever only speed rocking chair ) and barefoot while leaning on her back end and it makes me fall in love all over again and i don't have a fancy barn or anything as it's 69 years old going on 70 in a month and i'm now jumping. all in 2 years my sister has given me 2 horses, i lost my best western horse due to her going lame, and i had just gotten the stud like gelding about a month and 1/2 and he is so fun because he's very forward. (his name is Hershey but i nicknamed him Hershey bar) i'm restarting a 13 yo mare whose older by 1 and 1/2 month than me and honestly, she's a saint and i feel like she could make anyone happy even though shes still so green. I also have a red dun mare who's almost always in heat but i'm obsessed with her and a palomino mare who i do the tackless stuff on
