Paul, I will never understand your obsession with coffee, but I thoroughly enjoy your videos, especially the ones where you go exploring. Thanks for letting us tag along on your adventures.
Hi Roger.. I never even drank coffee until my thirties then just got more into specialist coffee. Then ultimately had my midlife crisis and opened a coffee shop😂😂☕. I sold the business a month before the first lockdown lol. Glad your enjoying. I'm planning a few city exploring rides over summer. Thank for supporting the channel
Another excellent guided tour of Lincoln Paul.👏👏
Thank you Shane I enjoyed Lincoln and have plans to ride more that way. Cheers
Really enjoyed your tour of Lincoln, apparently in British Champs Lizzie Deignan rides up Michaelgate in the big ring! 😎
My claim to fame is standing with Lizzies gran at the top. She had a tee shirt on saying so😂
Great video, I love the exploration 🙂 Two days in Lincoln is definitely on my 2022 list now!
Your a great tour guide keep it up. Love it.
Cheers Rick
You did us proud, even the locals stay away from Millman Hill and someone thought it would be a good joke to include it on NCN 1.
It wasn't a very funny joke Tom.... Lol.... I've never ridden that way before and it us certainly a toughie! But it does get you straight to height! 👆🙄
Hello from (usually) sunny California. I came to your channel to view the video where you talked about your Trek Checkpoint but have stayed to view your exploratory jaunts around the English cities and countryside. Keep the great videos coming!
Hi.... Thanks for staying around..... Glad you're enjoying the jaunts! There's a few more in the pipeline. I enjoyed the Nottingham one last year in search of the Banksy graffiti. Whereabouts in california are you?
@@PaulGreenVlog I live in Northern California/Silicon Valley. Specifically, the South Bay area. Great riding around these parts with lots of hills/mountains. I have some ride videos posted on my alternate channel that you can get to if you look at my profile. I'll check out your Nottingham video!
The ride up to Lincoln, Michaelgate is a lovely 50 mile round trip from Grantham. The route profile is flat, more flat, cobbled hill climb, descent, flat, more flat. Lovely ice cream from a shop just off Castle Square to aid recovery from the climb.
Indeed Mike!
Love these exploration videos Paul, this could be your thing! I’ve driven through Lincoln many times but never actually visited. After watching this Becky and I will definitely be going 🙂👍
Thank you Mark. Just exploring is good fun. Always something to come across. Although I know Lincoln from a driving point of view I've not cycled there. I've another route planned. Would be good to meet up for a ride
Getting in some sneaky Michaelgate practice before the main event 😉 great job riding on wet cobbles too. Another great vlog of Lincoln. 🙌🏻
Cheers Gez there's some tough hills
Thanks for showing a little of Lincoln , all new to me 🤷🏽♂️. Wet Cobbles and cycling not a good combination from my experience. You did OK 👍
Cheers Bob. I actually rode down Steep Hill on wet cobbles but I wasn't happy with the footage. Its definitely hilly in too part of Lincoln! .
I dislike cobbles at the best of times, but up hill and wet I would give it a miss, the cobbles around Nottingham Castle were bad enough for me.
Yes Michael... It was a bit tricky in places. I was on 42mm off road tyres which helped. Would have been very tricky on road tyres.!😊
I've seen quite a few cyclists fall on Michaelgate by riding the gutters, risky.
It's a very tricky surface to ride on for sure. It would be very hard if wet and on slick road tyres
