Awesome video! Glad to see the oil filter is not up top on the engine but down below. When the filter is up top, the oil filter is right above the alternator (on the F25). Oil and alternators don't mix. Lol. Never understood why BMW did that besides making a mess or frying people's alternators.
You need to upgrade the oil housing to the newer style ones found in the 2022? models and newer that have a drain plug! Mess free, worth it! Thanks for another great video, keep the f90 vids coming!

why the engine light?
In EU, BMW recommends to change oil every 19k miles :D
Manual says 0w30 and you put in 5w30. What’s the reason?
Why would you follow the manual? 0w30 is recommended because it gives the best mileage, 5w30 gives better protection, and better heat absorption.
Can you use a 0W 40 oil for this engine?
