They have to check Severino to see if he's nursing an injury or a weak area that he's being careful about not injuring. I'm not buying what he said. He said he has to pitch better. Really? You have to pitch better? I'm not buying that. Something is up and the Mets better make a serious check on him. They can't afford to have a Severino that is a shell of himself.

The way he's hit so far Alonzo may not command that big a salary. Here's hoping he turns it on and hits another 20 homers down the stretch.
