I tried using tacky glue as another video recommended and it was a terrible, messy failure (and total waste of nice fabric). I made an 18" diameter shade using linen fabric, so it was a bit tricky, but it does come out very nice. Since I had to determine the circumference of my rings and I forgot to add 1/2 an inch for the overlap, measure the diameter of your rings twice before you multiply by Pi for the circumference then add 1/2 of an inch for the overlap. I added 1/8 an inch and it just barely overlapped. Thankfully, I was able to make it work. I'm very happy with my result!
