Hi Chelsea: just a quick comment about your corn, you might try a smaller square patch for them, rather than an long slim row of corn to get better pollination & seed for future growing out.

Growing up in So Cal, I recall the local citrus and strawberry farmers using smudge pots to ward off the frost in their fields. We were surrounded by dairy farms and fruit fields. Lots of fun summertime job opportunities for us.

I have noticed that since we have a cold spring, there are not that many bees around. Love haskaps and tried a haskap chutney (recipe from Canadian Haskap Association) with tourtiere....omg, the chutney was delicious! We are looking also at very unseasonably cold nights and since I have planted my tomato, cucumber and squash starts outside, it is likely to stunt them even if we have no actual frost. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Running strings of holiday lights under plastic covers can create enough heat to easily make it through a light frost.
Also wrapping a few of your rafters/cross beams in the high tunnel can give you some warmth to plant safely a bit earlier.
