I don’t think that it’s being slept on, it’s that this was what was announced for the ultimate fighter. No heat between these guys and Volk has a kinda boring personality even though he’s a great fighter. This fight could have happened much sooner too and not kept the division on hold.

I had heard of Brian before watching the UFC regularly. It’s nice seeing Alex showing some personality/emotions. I feel like a lot of people think Max is still the champion of the division because Alex acted like the challenger before this fight. One thing about Alex is that he knows how to win on the score cards and he’s right that he needs a finish to cement himself on the top. Brian is a hard guy to finish but the power Alex has is impressive but I hope Brian pulls this one off because that rematch of Max Vs Brian would be incredible🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We will see how far Ortegas striking has improved beyond what he showed against TKZ. What is interesting to me is the fact that Alex tends to dip his head when inside the pocket to throw and exit on an angle right after. That's what got him caught with an uppercut and a knee by max a few times. We know Ortega is pretty well landings these inside the pocket as well as his counter elbows. Alex is elite though. I can only see him making Ortega attack and countering him or looking for the clinch against the cage which would also be the "safest" grappling option for him.
Ortega takes too much punishment showed that against his recent fights, Volka will punish/outpace him.
This fight is going to be nuts
