These lines are actually so cool His lines about “research”, “findings”. “Studies” *stuff he doesnt really mention much at all in the movie* and talks about how “He’s going to show Antinomy and Aporia the results of my studies”, seem to very likely be a big hint, that for the emperors of Yiliaster. His role was past research etc. Which would make a lot of sense, being his “embodiment of despair” his entire existence is a contradiction, he claims to hate and detest the past, thinking they're all b.s, but all his cards and strategy revolve around relying on the past, hence the name "paradox". literally having a deck full of monsters used by people in the past, in the game he claims to "hate and want to destroy" Also the “while your names will live throughout history, you will not” line to presumably Yusei, Jaden and Yugi is a super fucking cool nod to Z-ONE Really cool small stuff for a character who needed some extra spice. *plus his new dub performance is absolutely sublime, great shit*

She is initially a damsel in distress, but when she sees that Paradox is responsible for destroying duel monsters, she has no choice, but to betray him and become an independent dueling heroine, forming a bond with the three dueling heroes (Yugi, Jaden and Yusei). Unlike most female leads, she has a girly personality and has love for music, fashion and makeup, but she also has love for duels, comic books, video games and sports. In short, she is a "girly girl with a tomboy streak". She has some normal flaws, like being clumsy, bad at math and crying a lot. She is clearly not a Mary Sue.

I’m actually glad Sean isn’t the one acting. He’s a nefarious and scummy VA so whoever is doing this instead I would MUCH prefer than some woke VA. That’s what happens when you fire a VA over false accusations

Honestly couldn't tell it wasn't Sean it sounds just like his Rosē voice which I might add fits perfectly on Paradox who ever they got to replace him did an amazing job impersonating Sean thought that part about hearing Sean on to many characters is strange especially with the range he has for example he actually voiced the Dub voice of Mad Dog in GX something I find hilarious I will agree he was used quite a bit in GX though most of those characters were throw aways

The biggest issue with getting in the DOMA characters is that 3 of those uses non existing arch-types and the one that does uses Guardians of all monsters.

@@Potterholic1 I specifically didn't list Mai and Giromo because they would have the least issue. Mai just gets a redesign (if we can have a good and an evil Carly should Mai be able to get the same treatment) and most of her DOMA arc Harpy support was even printed in the recent past so she is easy. And Giromo just used a generic Warrior swarm deck at most give him Obilisk if he needs a beat stick but otherwise is he fine as well. As I said the 3 musketeers of DOMA have the issue that 2 don't use real cards and the last and most important one Raphael uses some of the worst cards in the game so I guess you could do him but without new Guardian support will he be stupidly underpowered. And Dartz should be pretty self-explanatory I mean we got some of his cards but until we get the whole Oricalcos set won't we properly see him.

Interesting that he has voice lines for the two Malefic cards that are not yet in the game (Cyber End and Paradigm Dragon). Would they be rewards when he becomes unlockable, or will they be part of a box?

When a new character comes out they generally give them voicelines for every card in their archetype, even if they don't plan on including them in the game

Now that is a nice voice cast for Paradox. Aporia's voice actor was not the right fit for the character and I had low expectations for Paradox. Glad to see this new actor fit Paradox like a glove
I agree. I genuinely wasn't expecting him to go Jason Griffith levels of ham (like the latter did for Primo's lines) for most of the cards (still reeling in surprise from the Stardust and Red-Eyes ones).

Sean is rather infamous for an audio leak of him being homophobic, as well as multiple instances of him being a jerk, and his involvement in the Vic Mignogna thing. It's likely that they don't want to be involved with him anymore.

If they ever expanded this deck, what other Dragon monsters would they make Malefic versions of. I'd think would have to be one of the more iconic and legendary ones given the others on this list. Not sure if any after 5Ds would be considered.

Throughout the film, she starts out as a damsel in distress, but as her arc progresses, she becomes a strong independent heroine. Plot: In the future, human civilization had been destroyed, except for two of the few survivors, Yuka and Paradox. Paradox kidnaps Yuka and they both travel back in time to prevent the destruction of his timeline from occurring by eliminating the source of that destruction; Duel Monsters and its creator, Maximillion Pegasus. In Venice, Paradox, while having Yuka trapped on a crystal, finds Jaden, who still has the powers of Yubel and The Supreme King. Paradox attacks him with "Cyber End Dragon" and "Rainbow Dragon". Jaden manages to resist by Summoning "Elemental HERO Neos" to protect him. In response, Paradox Summons "Stardust Dragon", a monster from the future, and proceeds to overwhelm Jaden. (This scene is how the movie opens before changing to Yusei's nightmare of Zero Reverse). As Yuka is in shock, Stardust Dragon's first attack almost destroys Neos and sends the two skidding backwards into a wall. As Yuka sees Paradox commanding Stardust Dragon to attack Jaden again, Yusei appears with the Crimson Dragon, who takes the blows for Jaden. Paradox disappears once again, but this time, he accidentally releases Yuka from a crystal. Soon, Yuka begins to chat on a roof with Yusei and Jaden. Seeing Yusei's Duel Runner, both Yuka and Jaden get excited seeing such a technology, asking Yusei if that is his 'Bike' (Duel Runner) of the future. Jaden then explains that he and Yuka came here because he heard that there were cards missing from his classmates. Yusei explains to Yuka and Jaden that Paradox is trying to change the past. Jaden then uses his laptop to find an article about the event that Paradox caused that would create a major historical event. Jaden then checks his card, as his "Elemental HERO Neos" card turns into a blank card. As the country began to collapse, Yusei tells Yuka and Jaden that they must hurry to save the world. Yuka, Yusei and Jaden then ride the Yusei Go Duel Runner, with the Crimson Dragon taking both of them even further back in time. In Yugi's timeline, a crack in the space appears and the Crimson Dragon suddenly "swallows" Yugi. Then, Yugi is thrown back in time at the same place half an hour earlier. Yuka, Yusei and Jaden find Yugi and explain to him what they know about Paradox. Yugi agrees to fight with them against Paradox to free the trapped monsters and save the world. At the event, Jaden Summons Yubel and starts to scare the audience so they would flee. By doing so, Yugi hopes the future is safe as Jaden regains his "Elemental HERO Neos" card, and so as Yuka. However, Paradox arrives regardless to the shock of the heroes. After Paradox takes his mask off and introduces himself, Yugi asks Paradox what kind of person he is. Paradox replies that he is from a future which was destroyed by Duel Monsters. He intends to destroy the game of Duel Monsters to prevent that future from happening. Yusei tries to tell Paradox that by changing time and trying to destroy Duel Monsters, he will also erase people from the timeline as well, to which Paradox replies that such sacrifices are insignificant in his grand experiment. Yuka angrily blames and betrays Paradox for being responsible of destroying duel monsters by changing the past, even trying to kill her male best friend Jaden and an only child that she sees him as her "brother". She has no choice, but to become an independent dueling heroine. Yuka, Yusei, Yugi and Jaden challenge Paradox to a 4 on 1 Duel, with a time limit of 20 minutes, before Pegasus arrives at the event and the other dimensions crumble to pieces. Paradox's Duel Runner transforms into a flying type and he floats up high. The yellow-glowing musical notes emerge from Yuka. Jaden's eyes change color as Yubel appears behind him. Yusei's Mark of the Dragon glows as the Crimson Dragon roars behind him. The two Duel Kings say their catchphrases and then Yami says to Yugi that the Duel against Paradox would be the toughest and Yugi responds by saying that they should rise to the challenge. Yugi transforms into Yami and says his catchphrase. The four activate their Duel Disks and the Duel begins. On a building overlooking the duel, Banner tells Pharaoh to wish the four luck.
Considering there's only 2 malefic cards (that are pretty good) that aren't in Duel Links yet, they're most likely gonna be part of a box to give it a theme.

You know I was a bit apprehensive when I first heard the new voice, but this guy absolutely nails it. I'm very excited to play him in game.

Nice to know Konami actually listens to the surveys they put out every so often. Maybe there's hope for those of us who request Dartz (or the half-dozen GX characters we don't have) yet.
The biggest issue with getting in the DOMA characters is that 3 of those uses non existing arch-types and the one that does uses Guardians of all monsters.
@@rynobehnke8289 There's also the possibility of a reskin of Mai (if Konami's willing to give us three different versions of Jaden, they can give us a Mai reskin for this).
@@Potterholic1 I specifically didn't list Mai and Giromo because they would have the least issue.
Mai just gets a redesign (if we can have a good and an evil Carly should Mai be able to get the same treatment) and most of her DOMA arc Harpy support was even printed in the recent past so she is easy.
And Giromo just used a generic Warrior swarm deck at most give him Obilisk if he needs a beat stick but otherwise is he fine as well.
As I said the 3 musketeers of DOMA have the issue that 2 don't use real cards and the last and most important one Raphael uses some of the worst cards in the game so I guess you could do him but without new Guardian support will he be stupidly underpowered.
And Dartz should be pretty self-explanatory I mean we got some of his cards but until we get the whole Oricalcos set won't we properly see him.

You're not really wrong about Valon, but Alister spent half a duel impersonating Pegasus. Just give him the Toons and Toon support Pegasus hasn't been using in-game.

When a new character comes out they generally give them voicelines for every card in their archetype, even if they don't plan on including them in the game
They do that plenty.
For example I'm pretty sure Supreme King has a voice line for Malicious Bane and I'm pretty damn sure we're not getting that.

Now that is a nice voice cast for Paradox. Aporia's voice actor was not the right fit for the character and I had low expectations for Paradox. Glad to see this new actor fit Paradox like a glove

I think the line “if you can hear the spirits” is a line with Jaden since he can hear monster spirits

Sean is rather infamous for an audio leak of him being homophobic, as well as multiple instances of him being a jerk, and his involvement in the Vic Mignogna thing. It's likely that they don't want to be involved with him anymore.

@@Dr.PaiPai Okay. Yuka makes her debut in the film as a main heroine on a group of protagonists. Throughout the film, she starts out as a damsel in distress, but as her arc progresses, she becomes a strong independent heroine.
Plot:
In the future, human civilization had been destroyed, except for two of the few survivors, Yuka and Paradox. Paradox kidnaps Yuka and they both travel back in time to prevent the destruction of his timeline from occurring by eliminating the source of that destruction; Duel Monsters and its creator, Maximillion Pegasus.
In Venice, Paradox, while having Yuka trapped on a crystal, finds Jaden, who still has the powers of Yubel and The Supreme King. Paradox attacks him with "Cyber End Dragon" and "Rainbow Dragon". Jaden manages to resist by Summoning "Elemental HERO Neos" to protect him. In response, Paradox Summons "Stardust Dragon", a monster from the future, and proceeds to overwhelm Jaden. (This scene is how the movie opens before changing to Yusei's nightmare of Zero Reverse). As Yuka is in shock, Stardust Dragon's first attack almost destroys Neos and sends the two skidding backwards into a wall.
As Yuka sees Paradox commanding Stardust Dragon to attack Jaden again, Yusei appears with the Crimson Dragon, who takes the blows for Jaden. Paradox disappears once again, but this time, he accidentally releases Yuka from a crystal.
Soon, Yuka begins to chat on a roof with Yusei and Jaden. Seeing Yusei's Duel Runner, both Yuka and Jaden get excited seeing such a technology, asking Yusei if that is his 'Bike' (Duel Runner) of the future. Jaden then explains that he and Yuka came here because he heard that there were cards missing from his classmates. Yusei explains to Yuka and Jaden that Paradox is trying to change the past. Jaden then uses his laptop to find an article about the event that Paradox caused that would create a major historical event. Jaden then checks his card, as his "Elemental HERO Neos" card turns into a blank card. As the country began to collapse, Yusei tells Yuka and Jaden that they must hurry to save the world.
Yuka, Yusei and Jaden then ride the Yusei Go Duel Runner, with the Crimson Dragon taking both of them even further back in time.
In Yugi's timeline, a crack in the space appears and the Crimson Dragon suddenly "swallows" Yugi. Then, Yugi is thrown back in time at the same place half an hour earlier. Yuka, Yusei and Jaden find Yugi and explain to him what they know about Paradox. Yugi agrees to fight with them against Paradox to free the trapped monsters and save the world.
At the event, Jaden Summons Yubel and starts to scare the audience so they would flee. By doing so, Yugi hopes the future is safe as Jaden regains his "Elemental HERO Neos" card, and so as Yuka. However, Paradox arrives regardless to the shock of the heroes. After Paradox takes his mask off and introduces himself, Yugi asks Paradox what kind of person he is. Paradox replies that he is from a future which was destroyed by Duel Monsters. He intends to destroy the game of Duel Monsters to prevent that future from happening. Yusei tries to tell Paradox that by changing time and trying to destroy Duel Monsters, he will also erase people from the timeline as well, to which Paradox replies that such sacrifices are insignificant in his grand experiment. Yuka angrily blames and betrays Paradox for being responsible of destroying duel monsters by changing the past, even trying to kill her male best friend Jaden and an only child that she sees him as her "brother". She has no choice, but to become an independent dueling heroine.
Yuka, Yusei, Yugi and Jaden challenge Paradox to a 4 on 1 Duel, with a time limit of 20 minutes, before Pegasus arrives at the event and the other dimensions crumble to pieces. Paradox's Duel Runner transforms into a flying type and he floats up high. The yellow-glowing musical notes emerge from Yuka. Jaden's eyes change color as Yubel appears behind him. Yusei's Mark of the Dragon glows as the Crimson Dragon roars behind him. The two Duel Kings say their catchphrases and then Yami says to Yugi that the Duel against Paradox would be the toughest and Yugi responds by saying that they should rise to the challenge. Yugi transforms into Yami and says his catchphrase. The four activate their Duel Disks and the Duel begins. On a building overlooking the duel, Banner tells Pharaoh to wish the four luck.
