Great to see these guys on KEXP. Usually KEXP stays ahead of the curve on new music, admittedly Roosevelt has been jamming the speakers here at home for a good 4 years. Have seen them live twice as well. Hey, better late than never, go see them if you want a great live show.

Now it's possible that some might say, "But there's Eighties music already. What's the point of copying it?" A while ago, I would have.
However, I suppose that a current band imitating the Eighties could be seen as a parallel to the early Stones imitating Chicago blues from the Fifties: Eighties pop music is well-established as a classic genre by now, there's a certain amount of depth to it (more in high-quality songwriting than playing or performing), and if you love it, why shouldn't you play it?
