    Pete, I think that Kiwami Belaria sprays the same like Sata 5500 but for $200 price only! Bad news for Sata fan....

      Hi Walter, I wouldn't argue with that at all. To be honest, it certainly represents excellent value for money

    I have a kiwami4 and I love it for both base and clear. I currently use it for base. It lays metallic very nice

      Hi Shaq, these are great guns and amazing value, especially now considering how everything has gone up. The Kiwami4 and Wider4 will do anything you want, really, cheers 👍

    I purchased a kiwiami 4, worked good for a spot job. I like the pattern it prays alot of material. I use it for clear, and I have a gun for base.

      Hi James, yes, they are a great gun and excellent value for money, considering how much top end guns are these days.
      Both these put out a lot of material and are very good on air, highly recommended 👌 👍

    Hi Pete great video! That’s a nice colour, I said to a couple of people that you don’t see many orange cars about which is a shame really as I quite like orange, I’m really surprised at how much difference the cap makes 😮 the Kiwami 4 done a really long I pattern and gave the impression it’s putting out more fluid than the Wider 4, they both gave a really nice finish and looked identical so this one is really down to personal choice how you like to spray. Cheers Pete.

      Hi Steve, Thanks, mate. This is a prime example of how the cap does most of the work and dictates how the gun sprays. it's like a completely different gun!
      I really love this colour, it's a bit flash, really so more suited to a hyper sports car or bike than a little run around 😁, cheers mate 👍

    I appreciate your dedication on figuring out the best way to spray all these guns and I appreciate your concerns on pattern size. Many people just say oh here's this gun it's the bees knees you'll love it. That kiwami pattern is huge. eBay guns can be sketchy maybe a whole shipment got damaged and x got it for y price because of this. My bellaria never ever sprayed right when new. Had to put in used lph parts!

      Hi buddy, thank you, I genuinely enjoy sharing what I find you guys, I'm quite into the way guns are made and the engineering differences between them.
      The Bellaria should spray easily the same as the Kiwami4 as apart from the thread on the cap, the caps are the same , as is the tip.

    Is there a purpose that iwata makes so many different types of spray guns? I mean primer, base and clear maybe metal.flake is all you should need...I'm binge watching all your vids

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi buddy, they do differ slightly, so yes, there is a reason , different people like different things and conditions are different as are materials

    Hi Pete, great video mate and both guns laid down a really nice finish and as you mentioned there isn't really any difference between the finish from both guns.
    It's surprising the difference the air caps make to how a gun sprays the pattern on the Kiwami4 is huge compared to the Wider4, I would say the bigger fan would be useful for full resprays but then it makes the gun slower so is there really any benefit from the bigger fan🤔
    Thanks Pete👏👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem +1

      Thanks, John, I think a wider pattern makes the gun better for some metallic colours where you want a bigger dryer pattern to help the metallic particles stand up. If it's too wet, the metallic just lay down and don't catch the light in the same way.
      Also, for the better clears that flow well, they don't need so much material on, so a less centred wet pattern should help.
      These are both quite fast guns, as you will know from using your Bellaria and brilliant value.
      I've just watched you Instagram, lovely finish mate as per usual, this is John's Instagram if people want to take a look instagram.com/johntc02?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 Před rokem

      That makes sense about a bigger fan laying metallic paints better, it seems like all the newer guns have pretty big fans these days, I suppose you could spray closer to make the fan wetter.
      Thanks for the plug on my IG page Pete, much appreciated👌👍

      Hi mate, Yes, it's has a smaller wetter pattern, so less overspray would be a by-product of that , Thanks, buddy 👍

    Which part of the gun was letting air by and was it an easy fix if so I will take a chance with one
    My job is painting kitchen/Bedroom furniture
    I'm normally painting sizes like 8ft x 2ft so laying down a wider pattern would help to speed the process up
    I'm mainly painting 10% PU

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem +2

      Hi buddy, it's was the part at the back that screws into the body where the needle went through. It wasn't a problem it was just annoying, really.
      The Wider4 is actually the faster gun as it's a wetter pattern, but you can't go wrong with either brilliant value

    Hi Pete, another great video!
    I noticed you warm your clear up to about 32c or 90-100*F. I tried warming the U-pol clear and noticed it flowed out better. How are you warming it up? I tried putting the can in warm water, but it started rusting the can. Thanks!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      Hi Garris, I use a microwave. You may see me using it in some of my videos.
      I'm sure it's not recommended and I wouldn't advise anyone to do it but I give it about 10 seconds per 100ml, I have a microwave in my workshop that i use just for paint, I do it to my basecoat and primer as well these day's.
      It helps the clear flow out, helps it go off faster which reduces the chance of runs without any detrimental effects, if you have a lot to do and want to keep the clear open just use a slower hardener and warm it up as before.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      Hi Sataman, If these, the W400 or LPH400 are leaking air from the back where you adjust the needle for fluid delivery, it's going to be what Iwata call the " Fluid Adjusting Guide Set" , it's the part that screws into the back.

    Hi Pete, have you tried a Wider1 vs Kiwami1?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před rokem

      Hi Sue, No, I have a wider 1 1.0 and a Wider 1L 1.4 but not a 1.3 version.
      I will get round to doing a pattern test of all the Kiwami1 and Wider1 that I have, which is most of them as it would be interesting to see the pattern size/wetness on the different caps
