I think “Fireworks” is the best song they’ve ever written and one of greatest songs of the century.
One day in 2010 or 2011, I was exiting a light rail station in Seattle while singing Fireworks to myself. Someone was walking down the sidewalk singing a different part of the song too, and we had a moment when we met. I'll never forget that.

Strawberry Jam is the best album because it's like, the perfect middle piece of Feels and MPP. Also, For Reverend Green is the bes song they've ever written.

This album is one of the best ever because "Derek" is a song about Noah Lennox's dog telling him to wrap his pecker. Thank you Based Panda Bear.

This album has such a deep place in my soul. I gone through so much with their record playing in the background. From first time moving out to an intense break up.. it gets me emotional just listening to peacebone

They were smoking a bunch of Salvia while they were recording in Tucson. Which as someone who smoked that pure insanity 1 time I cannot understand.
I have only this month started getting into Animal Collective and I already love this album.
Spencer Williams dude you're in for so much fun. They literally became my favorite band ever in just a matter of days.

Strawberry Jam was AC's album that probably got me the most into them when it came out. Also remember seeing them on that tour. I got so high I blacked out for a few minutes at that show. Good times.
Awright, AnCo! This video made me reconsider Strawberry Jam, which I usually didn't regard among my favourites. My favourite one is Sung Tongs.

Feels was there best album in my Opinion but they are the Fathers of Millennial Indie Rock So All their albums were amazing. I ❤️ Panda Bear for Life I met him after a show once and he still looks 20 and was extremely nice

what does pop mean for you?
I mean I wouldn't call SJ their *first*, that'd go to Sung Tongs, but I also think that pop rhythms and melodies can be delivered in different ways.
It's melodic as hell, a lot of it is verse-chorus-verse structured, and of course there's the huge debt they owe to the Beach Boys. If you strip away the 'weird-for-the-sake-of-weird' hipsterisms, the album is just late 60s psychedelic pop.
STGSTV is considered noise pop, so I'd say that's their first "pop" record.
