- In this JBL 660NC Live Headphones Review, we will be doing a review and unboxing of the JBL Live 660NC Live Headphones as well as actually testing the sound out and as well as using them whilst running, cycling and being at the gym.
We have found in this review that the JBL 660NC Live Headphones to be of great quality and have really good sound and we would highly recommend them. We would even say that are a great alternative to more expensive noise cancelling headphones on the market and could be one of the best value noise cancelling headphones available.

How's the mic reception?
They aren't awesome, they don't even work properly! Hot garbage is what it is.
Bought these headphones kinda on an impulse, had a cross Atlantic flight and decided to splurge a bit on some ANC headphones to enjoy the plane a bit more. Gotta say they work great! Only issue is that if you use glasses I would not recommend them, they are very tight and hurt the side of your head if you use them with glasses (might be I just have a wide head though), for me I only use glasses when watching TV or using a computer for long so you can just lift the glasses on top of the ear cups (not stylish but very practical).
Sound quality if very good! Incredible bass, highs and lows.
Microphone is receptive but won't blow your mind
ANC works fine but if you expect something that will block out 100% of all noise then look somewhere else at a much higher price bracket. These block out 75% - 95% of noise depending on how much noise there is and if you are listening to music or not.

Would you recommend these over the Sony WH-CH710NC? I'm going to use them at the gym, in school and on the buss. Usually I listen to a lot of bass heavy music like rap and hip-hop.

One thing I'm confused about these headphone is toggling ANC does nothing. I tried on/off and background noise sounds same. Is it normal?

Dude, I am asking. I have purchased these headphones recently and i am asking if these headphones are durable, because I want to know how delicate I should keep them.

There's something I'd like to know. I bought these a couple of weeks ago, but now I feel like the NC isn't working properly. Because when I'm on the bus, unless I put my music at max volume, I can still hear people talking and other background noises. Though I feel like when I first bought them, they were working way better.
So I don't know if I should return them or if it's a minor problem.

I had some really cheap headphones and earbuds over the time and wanted something better without the feeling of paying half my Life savings (at least it what i felt like looking at some prices)
I did try them out yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the fit and the sound... I'm listening to different kinds of music from metal to house and so far I liked the sound of it with all the different song's i tried out... I know there are much better headphones out there but for the 135 euro i payed I'm very happy with what i got

You may need to be careful with that, so maybe use lower wats

I probably wouldn't use for gaming as the latency is not that high, would be fine for music though. Maybe check out the JBL Tour One?

They stay on but I found they got hot after about 30 minutes of working out!

Hi .. i just got a JBL live 660nc and i saw that i can use the equalizer from the JBL app but already have one inside the music (Spotify and deezer) .. i don't see the advantage of having an equalizer in the JBL app when all phones comes with an integrated one .. is there a difference between the two plz ?

Is this the top model from jbl?
I got the headphones for Christmas and I must say, I'm really satisfied with them.
They do have amazing sound quality, good noise canceling and are very comfortable.
So far, they're great.

Bought these today, really happy about them ! But there is one problem. If I conmect them with the wire to my phone, only the left side plays. If I do it with Bluetooth both side works. Anyone advice, if thats a problem and how I can fix it ? :)

Received for Christmas this year. I love them, working the buttons at first is challenging. Also, if you forget which ear, the inside padding shows L and R 😂

I‘ve used a good amount of headphones and almost all of them start to hurt my ears 20 to 30 minutes into use. I wanna get this but I'd like to know your experience when it comes to comfort.

@@mystic18 just got mine today. wore it half an hour; the top band is a bit tight and the rest is fine. you can make it looser if u want so that should fix your general issue

I had the Live 400BTs, returned them because they were defective but the sound Blew me away, now imagine what improvements they made with these new ones.

Haven't actually used the sony xb910s yet. I would say if you like them really really loud then these will probably disappoint, although I don't listen to them too loud as it hurts my ears. Thanks for watching!
I have the 650 Live. I'm wondering if this would be worth an upgrade.
u better go have an upgrade.. fantastic sound.. just make sure to put effort in creating ur own customized eq settings..
They sound the same. I've had both, the live 660 just add better battery life, ambient mode, auto pause when you take the headphones off and a slightly tighter fit.

hi @@MrYouWho ! sadly no, i was able to clean the 'rubber' stuff that rests around your ears with a wetwipe but i couldnt clean the headband or inside the headphones where the sound comes from (the fabric that says R and L on them).
for the headband i simply bought a cover for it, but for inside the headphones i dont really have a solution..
Does the white collect dirt a lot? How do you protect the white from being dirty or collect hair oil?
It does collect a lot over time and does discolour, I have tried to remove it but it stays on there, you should get a good 12 months before it starts to discolour a lot though
@MrYouWho i actually bought it, and mine has already discolored a lot. I even had to wash the head. I won't recommend buying it, tho. Also, the noise cancelation is not fantastic. They should have paid attention to the type of fabric placed there to avoid bad reviews .

I really want the white ones but would they get dirty easily and hard to clean?
The whites do discolor a little over time, they are plastic so you can wipe although the ear cups are a little harder. Will you use them for the gym or anything like that?

Just concerned of the headband getting dirty overtime when switching from putting it on to resting it on the neck, plus makeup on the ear cups but I could put covers on them. Would you say the headbands are hard to clean?

I am not sure the latency would be good enough for gaming all the time as I didn't actually test the latency. How often would you be using it? The mic should be fine for calling.

JBL Quantum 600 (wireless, USB to the PC, works 10m away just fine)
good side: 10/10 for games (espec. for CS:GO . it has 7.1 sound (all around, very precise)). microphone - 9/10, very clear, almost like 500$
bad side: 6/10 for music - bass not so good for music (Sony WH-CH710NL, much better choice for music, but BAD for games and BAD mic. ). if only they could have made better for music... :(
JBL Q.600 vs. Q800 - no difference , only Q.800 has Bluetooth , and more expensive (+50$)
2nd choice: Logitech PRO X
game quality : 9/10 (personally, slightly worse than JBL Q.600)
music quality: 6/10 (almost no dif vs. JBL)
JBL or Logitech, under 200$ , i think you wont find better. (these cost around 150$)
3rd choice:
Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II
game: 9/10
music: 7/10 (slightly better than in JBL, or Logitech, but expensive ...250-300$ - brand name

The pads start to get a little bit dirty over the year. But they still work really well!

I just got the JBL tour ones for $150. Yes they sound great but don't get very loud? How about the lives? My guess is they are most likely similar.. its a bummer because the tours are very feature rich but I think they are going back! :-(
you should've writed "live" cause there are two headphones with the same name except that these live headphones are the over ear (or I don't know are they considered as over ear but cmoon just look at them) more expencive ones and the others JBL tune 660nc are cheaper on ear headphones

Yes they do work with an Iphone, I use them with my Iphone Pro 15 Max.
