  • Believers who will be cast into Hell? Why speak in this way? It is because Scripture says there will be believers cast into Hell. Really? Yes. We have to use the language of Scripture even when it may not fit our preconceived notions and our doctrinal assumptions.

It’s not about believing ABOUT Jesus, it’s believing IN Jesus and his finished work on the cross and placing our faith and trust in Him entirely. Jesus is the founder and perfecter of our faith and what He starts, He will finish. We couldn’t even come to Jesus on our own, how much less can we keep salvation on our own? Just be sure that you are indeed in the faith though, and God bless!

Exactly. And it’s believing in the finished work of the TRUE JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, of the Bible. It’s believing the WHOLE WORD OF YHVH FROM THE FIRST WORD IN GENESIS TO THE LAST WORD IN REVELATION, because Jesus Christ is the Word of YHVH made flesh. Jesus Christ is the Creator who created all things in 6 literal days, and rested on the 7th. It’s believing Jesus when He says He is YHVH manifest in the flesh, the I AM in John 8:58 who gave Moses the law, the First and the Last as Jesus declares He is in Revelation 1:17-18 & Revelation 22:13. Jesus Christ is not an angel, He’s not a created being, He’s the eternal, everlasting God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, YHVH incarnate in flesh. Jesus Christ is the same God who says it’s an abomination for man to lay with man as he would a woman, and He hasn’t changed His mind just because this perverse world glorifies sexua| imm0ra|ity. Jesus Christ does not conform to this world, He is the God who transforms the heart of every person who is born again of His Holy Spirit, and He sanctifies them and turns them from sin and they begin to love righteousness just as Jesus loves righteousness. Jesus is a God of love, but He’s also a God of righteous wrath upon unrepentant sinners who reject His gift of salvation. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You can’t cherry pick the Bible and create some false Jesus that is only love and never judges unrepentant sin, like many people have, and expect your false version of Christ to save you. You accept and love Jesus Christ just as He is revealed to be in the scriptures. The God who died for our sins on the cross and arose the 3rd day is the same God who destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah for their wickedness that they refused to turn from, and He’s the God who destroyed all life on the earth except for those on the ark in the global flood, and He’s the God who comes in righteous wrath in Revelation 19 and slays the wicked, unrepentant sinners. Just because this world is a den of iniquity and accepts all manner of sin and perversion, Jesus Christ does not. And that’s why the world hates the true Jesus Christ of the Bible, and they hate all Bible believing born again believers in Christ who uphold the written Word of YHVH and speak the truth of the scriptures and the true Jesus Christ of the Bible. Our Lord Jesus Christ is Holy and righteous, and He does not conform to this wicked world. Jesus Christ is the God who transforms us, not a God who conforms to the corruptible image of mankind. I love my Lord Jesus Christ, and I love that He has changed me into a new creature in Christ. Praise Jesus that I don’t live the life of sin that I used to before Jesus pulled me from that darkness. It’s only by the power of His Holy Spirit that I am changed. Thank You Lord Jesus.🙏🏻🙌🏻✝️👑

@@MrRezillo, the only reason you criticize the righteous judgement of our Holy and sinless God and Creator, who manifest Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father YHVH, is because you are like all mankind, and fallen in sin. You choose to rebel against Christ rather than receiving the free gift of salvation He offers you because you don’t want to turn from your sins. You create the Hell you will enter if you remain in unbelief and unrepentant sin. Your very act of rejecting your Creator has created your damnation in Hell unless you repent and receive Jesus as your Savior. Jesus does love you, and He showed you how much He loves you when He died for you on the cross, and arose the 3rd day. Jesus doesn’t expect you to turn from your sins on your own. He will send His Holy Spirit to live in you, and the Holy Spirit will literally take away the desire to do the sins you struggle with. Jesus frees us from bondage to sin, and it’s only being freed from sin by faith in Christ that we even understand the bondage of the sin we were in before Jesus saved us. You will be a completely different person and have actual joy and peace in Christ that you never knew was possible. But only you can choose to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and allow Him to transform you from within. An unloving and unjust God is a God who just allows sin to destroy all that is good and never punish in judgement the unrighteous sins of mankind. You would never call an earthly judge who just allows murderers, rapists, thieves, etc., to walk away without any punishment for their crimes as being a good and righteous judge, nor would you call an earthly judge who sentences murderers to death, or sentences other criminals according to their crimes as being unjust, but you turn around and call our Creator who punishes people for the same things, in righteous judgement, as being unloving and unfair. That’s hypocrisy. It is because of His love that Jesus Christ judges unrepentant sin. I would not want a God who bowed to the will of man and allowed evil to go unpunished. But regardless of what you think of Jesus Christ, it doesn’t change the fact that He is our Creator, and He will judge and punish the sins of the unrepentant, and He is righteous and just in all His judgements. Your unbelief doesn’t change who He is, and it doesn’t prevent Him from judging your sins in righteous judgement if you remain unrepentant. You don’t get exempted from standing before Jesus in judgement of your sins unless you receive Jesus as your Savior, and if you receive Jesus as your Savior, then He has paid for your sins and you will not be judged for your sins, but rewarded for receiving Jesus as your Savior and allowing Him to change you from within. He is extending His mercy, grace, and love towards you with nail scarred hands, but only you can receive His gift of salvation.

All translations from the KJV 400 years ago (and beyond, to Wycliffe) use "believed" in those verses to describe the people referenced. One could also cite Demas. Paul would not be mentioning him as a ministry partner in Colossians and Philemon if he knew him to not be a believer - and Paul goes on to describe Demas's apostasy in 2 Tim. 4.

Folks take heed and make sure you dont fall into the trap of the enemies condemnation. Jesus himself said those who hear the gospel and believe will be saved..those who don't believe will be damned...there are none who will be damned who have believe in the gospel of the LordJesus Christ. Trusting that God is faithful who hath promised. It makes me sick when i hear people make these claims. Those who dont endure and continue to the end are only counterfeits..John said they didn't continue with us because they were not of us..for if they had been of us they would have continued with us..but they went out from us, that it may be made manifest they were WERE NOT OF US. The real question here that must he asked is this..have you truly repented and trusted in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross..we all have sins that easily beset us and being born again we can now stand against them. But that stand will NEVER, and i mean NEVER, absolutly NEVER ever gain us any approval from God. We fight because we are saved, not because we are trying to be saved or remain saved. Jesus himself is the author and finisher of our faith. Remember this, HE THAT BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU SHALL FINISH IT. That HE is God Almighty...so if its him in Jesus Christ who called us to walk this path, he will see to it no matter what, that we remain on it, and continue on it until the end. We are his children now
If you stumble in sin, just repent and confess it and keep fighting the good fight. Your not damned or condemned by God because you've "sinned to many times" thats Satan's doctrine to try making a person who should be living in victory feel they are damned and hated

@Jesus Christ is LORD: Thank you for taking the time to comment. Our intent here is to honestly have people look at how Scripture describes certain people. Yes, John 3:16 is true. Yes, John 20:31 is true. But so are John 2:23-25 and John 8:31, where Scripture is clear that those who are said to have "believed" are in fact not justified. "Believed" is not merely our word there, it's the word every English translation note going back to Wycliffe and the KJV have used in those two passages to describe what those people did, as it translates "pisteuo/pisteuon" and one cannot say that the word takes different forms in all cases because the word as translated in 2:23 is the same form as in John 20:8, describing what "the other disciple" (John, himself, perhaps?) did when "he saw and believed." Both 2:23 and 20:8 are in the aorist, active, indicative. God will preserve His people...Scripture lays responsibility on men to endure to the end in faith and we do not deny that. Scripture also, though, does what we describe here - sit states that some "believe" who are in fact not regenerate... who were not born again by the will of the Father and given an imperishable inheritance (1 Peter 1) kept in heaven for them, who do not have faith guarded by God's power.

If you're referring to repentance, that's nothing more than what Jesus told people to do (Mark 1:15... "Repent and believe the gospel"). He told the apostles to preach "repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Luke 24:47). Peter told inquiring Jews in Acts 2 when they asked what they must to do be saved, to repent, right (Acts 2:38). Jesus and the apostles were not making justification dependent upon us - they were telling us what our responsibility is in order to receive salvation as a free gift from Christ because we cannot do anything which merits favor in the sight of the Father.

Might I ask how we would look at and define an apostate? An apostate is one who professes faith, then turns their back on that faith, renouncing it, right (cf. Heb. 6:4-6). Now, did that person have eternal life when they believed? No. They never had it. They only appeared to have had it. Think of the people we both likely know who believed for years... who were in our churches... but who decided to walk away from Christ. Did they believe? Yes. Were they regenerate? No. Were they given the gift of eternal life? No. And Scripture says those people exist - that's the point of our video. Thanks again.

I'm reminded of a video by Paul Washer called 'Don't Expect a Perfect Repentance.' The key to knowing your repentance was genuine is not perfection but fruit. Can you see growth in your life? Are you desiring to see more? Is repentance itself an ongoing reality? These are the key questions to ask and they help us understand that tension between the reality of repentance and that of ongoing sin.

See, you are either (A) a believer and follower of Christ, or (B) you are not.
Otherwise, there is a logical fallacy here, A cannot be B, in this context, unless both were true (a paradox). Which as is explained in the video is clearly not the case.
Hence, how about differentiating the two, by using:
    (A) "believers"

    (B) "so-called believers"
    (not followers of Christ)

I believe we made it clear in the video that no logical fallacy has been committed here, with no violation of the law of non-contradiction ("a cannot be non-a at the time and in the same relationship"). That's why I equated "believers" and "believers" with "Israel" and "Israel." "Israel is used in two senses in Romans but no contradiction occurs. With John writing the breathed-out words of God in John 2 and using the aorist, active, indicative of "pisteuo" and then doing the same thing in John 20:8 to describe the "other disciple" (John?) who saw and believed, we're just using the language of Scripture. Both, in John 2 and John 20 are said to have "believed" (as every English translation from Wycliffe, down through the KJV and to today's versions) translate "pisteuo." Perhaps watching the full sermon, linked in the description, might help.

Now, to look back at them with 20/20 hindsight and say "they were not true believers" would be accurate, but do you think Paul would have mentioned Demas as a ministry partner twice (Colossians and Philemon) if Paul did not consider him to be a true "believer when writing those letters. We know that when Paul wrote 2 Timothy later, things had turned and Demas had walked away and shown himself to indeed not be a true believer who would endure to the end.

Hey Dirk van der Merwe, there are professing believers who will definitely be cast into Hell, and if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you’ll come to believe it also, for He said, “On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and cast out demons in Your name, and do many mighty works in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you evildoers'"
      (Matthew 7:21-23)
This doesn’t mean that they were genuine believers, but that they were professing believers. They may believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died for sinners, but they don’t have saving faith. Saving faith is a repentant faith.
“The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;”
      (1 John 2:4)
May you look to His word as the source of what you believe, and submit to what He says there, friend.

Hey Raj, if scripture is your authority for all truth, then may I ask you how you would approach Genesis 1,
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
      (Genesis‬ ‭1:26-27‬)
Let Us (plural) make man in Our image (plural),
      according to Our likeness (plural).
God created man in His image (singular), etc.
You see plurality to this one God. This is scripture, not man made doctrines.
As far as John 8:24, that you mentioned, have you considered that in the same conversation, Jesus mentioned how Abraham saw Him (Jesus)? The Lord Jesus, before His incarnation, appeared to Abraham and judged Sodom and Gomorrah. Notice something very revealing of Christ,
“Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven,”
      (Genesis 19:24)
The LORD Jesus was on the earth raining down brimstone and fire FROM THE LORD IN HEAVEN.
The text you mentioned, in John 8, rather than condemning trinitarians, actually condemns those who reject the deity of the three persons of the Godhead.
There are many examples in scripture, but may I ask how Jesus could say this in a oneness view,
"I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father."
      (John 16:28)
How can He leave Himself and go back to Himself, or send Himself? Do you see how your belief breaks down when compared with scripture?
      One more,
“Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.”
      (John 6:46)
Jesus said that no one has seen the Father but He Himself. Many had seen the Lord in the Old and New Testament, but they hadn’t seen the Father. How does a oneness individual reconcile this?
Please, compare what you’ve been taught by men with the word of God. What you have been taught is not in accord with God’s word, but is the doctrine of men, and it is not from God.

One can't do miracles in Jesus name if they don't believe in Jesus - so they believed in Jesus. The difference between them and real Christians is that real Christians have been given a new heart by being born again (John 3, Ezekiel 36) and repented of their sins, and keep on repenting of their sins. They, of course, believe in Jesus...truly believe. I praise God for His grace!

Actually it’s possible for people to perform miracles without Jesus under the sovereign will and purposes of God. Think about Moses and the Egyptian magicians, Judas and the sorcerer in Acts. The point of that passage is that these people were trying to justify themselves to go to Heaven based on their works, and Jesus Christ does not know them, He never did, thus they were never saved “Only those who do the will of my Father will enter” as Jesus said, in which what the Father wants is in John 6:28-29

If a person possesses the LIFE of God, they will repent, believe, and persevere in faith. If a person does not possess the LIFE of God, they may have a superficial kind of faith, but they are not saved. Faith is a gift of God's Spirit. Salvation is of the Lord, not of our profession. Profession is important, but profession of Jesus without possession of Jesus is empty.

Hey Hannah, repentance can be confusing for new believers, or those who the Lord may be “giving eyes to see and ears to hear”.
      2 Timothy 2:25-26 says,
“with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”
Repentance does mean a change of mind, and like you said, when someone truly changes their mind about something, their attitude toward it and their actions in relation to it will change also. The prodigal son “came to his senses” and went home, knowing he had sinned against God and against his father, he expected to be as one of his father’s hired servants, but as his father saw him still far off, he began running with joy toward his son and embraced him with love and forgiveness.
Psalm 51 gives an example of Godly sorrow over sin. David was tempted to sin with Bathsheba, another man’s wife, due to evil desires, and he gave into those evil desires, even after walking with the Lord for some time.
After the Lord sent the prophet Nathan to David, to confront him about his sins, he confessed his sins, and repented before God.
When we sin, yes, we do it because in that moment we desire that thing (whatever the sin may be) more than we desire Him.
The true believer will be sorrowful over that and desire forgiveness, restored fellowship with Him, and sanctification. They don’t want to sin against Him or even desire evil at all.
The unbeliever loves sin, and they live in it.
The believer does not love sin, and cannot live in it.

There’s a reason why Jesus is our high priest. After our salvation, we need a way to be cleansed if we sin. See 1 John 1:9-10. Think of it like the levítical priests. Also, I want to encourage you not to trust in a baptism. Baptism will not save you, and if baptism were required for salvation, the thief on the cross would not have been told, “truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise” (Luke 23:43)
That man entered into glory with Jesus with no sins and a perfect righteousness.
      (2 Corinthians 5:21/ Philippians 3:9)
If there has been much sin in your life, no desire for the Lord or His word, no desire for holiness or nearness to Him, I believe that the Lord may have begun opening your eyes a few months ago, bringing you to your senses, to bring you to true faith.
I don’t know what your life looked like before now, but this is what He did with me.
      I believed I was saved until I was 26.
I would hear sermons over examining whether I am saved or not, and click away from them because they scared me, but as I began reading scripture and listening to them, I came to see through 1 John 1:6 that I did not know Him and that I was not saved. So I cried out to Him to save me and make me His. My life has never been the same since, and it’s been 4 years. I lived in sin and yet thought I was good.
I came to see my utter sinfulness, the hell I deserved (which is God’s just wrath against my sin, away from Him for eternity), that Jesus alone could save me (from the wrath and separation from God that I deserved, as well as freedom from slavery to sin), and that He had promised that “whoever goes to Him He will never cast out” (John 6:37)
      Prayerfully read 1 John, Hannah.
These aren’t things you are to do to be saved, but 1 John is full of evidences of true salvation.
God does not reveal our lost condition just to leave us there, but it is His mercy and kindness to lead us to repentance, and reconciliation to Him through Christ.

The issue we must honestly address, though, is that the language of Scripture in every English translation from Wycliffe, through the KJV and until today translates "pisteuo" in John 2:23-25 as "believed." And it's the same word, in the same sense (aorist, active, indicative) as what "the other disciple" (John?) is said to have done in John 20:8 when "he saw and believed." The Spirit carried John along to write "pisteuo" in both John 2 and John 20 and we have to honestly wrestle with the fact that he did.

@HM Productions: Thank you for writing. Perhaps 1 Timothy 1 helps here. Paul writes in verse 19 that some have made "shipwreck of their faith," among whom (v. 20) are Alexander and Hymenaeus, whom Paul said he handed over to Satan... but for what purpose? "... that they may learn to not blaspheme." It is not unreasonable here to draw the conclusion that these two men were in fact blaspheming - and Paul wants them to learn to not blaspheme. If he wants them to learn to not blaspheme, then the inference is that they would then return to the faith even though they had made "shipwreck" of it beforehand. So, yes, there is always hope for the one who turns from their sin (repents) and believes in Christ to save him.

Some believe they followed God when they were simply going to church, listening to some Christian music, praying from time to time, and avoiding big sins.
That’s not what makes a Christian though.
A Christian is not saved by how good they are, since they’re already guilty of sin before God, therefore already deserving condemnation and separation from Him. This is why Christ died for sinners, in order to die their death for their sins in their place, to bring them to God (1 Peter 3:18). When God saves someone, He reveals Himself, that He is holy, just, and righteous and punishes all sin (Nahum 1:3, Psalm 5:4), He reveals that they are guilty before Him, deserving punishment and separation from Him for their sins (Luke 18:13, Luke 5:8, Isaiah 6:5), and He reveals to them Christ as the one and only Savior (John 14:5, Acts 4:12, John 8:24)
God makes this promise to His people,
“I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.”
      ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭32:40‬
So you may not have been His at all, or if you truly are, He may be bringing you back.
None of us on here can tell you where you truly stand before the Lord, but 1 John would be a good place to read if you want to know.
If you come to see that you never were His, take heart, He is a God who loves to save, and ordained the way of salvation before the world began.
I will also leave you with this promise from the Savior Himself,
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”

Repentance is not changing your mind. Repentance is having grief and sorrow over your wrongdoing towards God. Those who are repentant (grieved) about their sin WILL endure to the end because in having repentance and faith (both gifts from God), you become a child of God and He will convict you of sin and keep you forevermore. I used to listen to this ministry because I thought it was sound. But watching these videos made me extremely confused about salvation because I had more questions afterwards than answers. When I learned that repentance doesn’t mean changing your mind and that it means to grieve over your sin against God, the Bible started to open up to me like never before. I also understood my own testimony of salvation that took place on the night when I was absolutely broken and in tears before God about how evil I finally knew I had always been. And that’s when I truly believed on Christ because I understood how much I needed Him in my wretched state (I was a false convert myself prior to that... simply believing in Christ with no grief toward God over my sin. But I did, in fact, try to turn away from certain sins during this time because I knew they were wrong. I was just still not grieved over it).
Read Luke 18:9-14 KJB. Notice how the Pharisee is attributing his righteousness to his works and is belittling the man who is beating his chest and asking for God’s mercy because of the pain in his heart. If all you have done is changed your mind, then all you have done is believed. And if you have turned from your sin and you think that’s what has made you different than the others who ONLY believe, then you’re believing in a works salvation and you are just like that Pharisee who is mocking the publican who has been brought to repentance over his sin. But I say to you: REPENT of your sin and be converted. Stop trusting in your own righteousness like the Pharisee and look at your wretched state before God. Weep and mourn because you are of your father the devil (those of you who have not truly repented and believed). Don’t turn your eye from true repentance and scoff at it as if it’s below you to weep in brokenness over your sin. God will not save someone of a prideful spirit so be humbled to repentance.
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”-James 4:6

I've come to the conclusion, in the context, Jesus is speaking about those who endure physically..

@Raj Singh you're understanding doesn't harmonize with scripture. You take a couple verses to establish your doctrine. I'll take a few examples from scripture to challenge that. First, for your understanding to be accurate, the Father had to leave Heaven to become the Son. There was only Him. When He ascended back into Heaven he retook His roll as the Father until He came back as the Holy Spirit.
In any event He had to leave Heaven empty of Him for at least a time. Now, if we can get past that, who was the dove that came to light on Christ at His baptism? And who's voice was it from Heaven who said "This is my beloved Son in "WHOM" (IMPLIES A DIFFERENT PERSON) "I" (also separating from the being of Christ in the water) am well pleased. God is not arrogant. Jesus being God the Father in disguise would not create a confusion nor lie to create a false sense of understanding nor "pat" His own self on the back with those words because that would be saying "This is Me in who I'm well pleased in." The event doesn't align with your understanding. Secondly, when Peter and John accompanied Him to the top of the mountain where He was transfigured, that would have had to have been God in His highest form. Again, what happened? A voice came out or Heaven saying "This is MY (one ENTITY) beloved (object of affection) SON (OFFSPRING), HEAR "HE HIM" This is a clear delineation of person.
Please explain who Jesus was talking about who since was Gd the Father incarnate, when He spoke in John 6:29? John 14:23? Who did Jesus cry out to on the Cross? "Eli, Eli lama sabacthani?" Which interpreted is "Father, Father why hasn't THOU forsaken ME?" WAS GOD INCARNATE SO DISTRAUGHT THAT HE BECAME DELUSIONAL OR HALLUCINATING FROM THE TORMENT, THINKING THERE WAS ANYONE BUT HIMSELF TO CRY TO?
Why did He LIE to Mary?
      John 20:17
      Please explain John 14:28.
Neither does this harmonize with the Ascension.
Mark 16:9 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the RIGHT HAND of GOD.
Acts 6:1-12? Who did Jesus say through WHO'S own authority?
Please, please, please explain Psalm 110 in the context of your doctrine.
You have it correct that God is One You miss the fact that God the Father is the One God, the Son who sits at His right Hand IS THE ONE GOD and the Holy Spirit, IS THE ONE GOD. All THREE of them are THE ONE GOD. A complete Union making a singular ring.

Jesus is God, the Father is God, and the Spirit is God. They are distinct, yet one. God’s name in Hebrew is plural. “Let _Us_ make man in our image..” the angles aren’t helping God make man, only God.

There’s one MASSIVE contradictory statement when he says we are saved by faith but that we must DO - work - the rest of our lives. This cheapens Grace and the Blood of Christ. We are either saved from all our sins once and for all, or not saved at all. It also the height of hubris to think that we can do enough to be “in good standing” throughout life and all the way to the end when our cleanest clothes are but filthy rags.
Furthermore, had he continued along in this passage he’d come to Romans 10:9-10. “... if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and you believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” PERIOD. No condition. Nothing to add. CONFESS. BELIEVE. YOU’RE SAVED!
Paul also speaks to the Romans that we are adopted sons and daughters. Romans understood this meaning. Biological parents and children could divorce themselves of each other. Parents of adopted children COULD NOT divorce themselves of the child, and vice versa.

    • @davidsimpson4486
      @davidsimpson4486 Před 3 lety +1

@Raj Singh - you are denying Scripture and in danger of adding to the Gospel as Paul wrote in Galatians 1. The requirement for salvation as Paul writes in Romans 10:9-10 is the CONFESS JESUS AS LORD and BELIEVE GOD raised Him from the dead.
As for the Trinity, refer to Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist. The Father’s voice was heard audibly, Jesus - who many times claimed to be God - is seen while the Spirit of God descended upon Him (Jesus) as a dove.

That you are seeking what is pleasing to God is as good a sign as any that you are on the correct path. God is not trying to run away from you. When you seek after Him, He is eager to be found. Neither religion or studies in logic should stand between you and Christ. It might help to back off a little from reading how others interpret the way your relationship with the Creator of all things should evolve. Dig into your Bible and get to know Who God is. His personality. His expressions of love. His creativity. His justness. His immensity. His Holiness. His humor. His steadfastness. His faithfulness. Its difficult for us not to see ourselves at the center of everything, including God's Word. I know in my experience at least, I had trouble recognizing God because I was never taught who he was as a person. I used to ask my kids if a man drove up to their school in the same color van as ours, with the same hair and glasses as mine, and similar face as mine; would they get in the car? They would always say of course not because they knew it wasn't me. I would tell them that it's kind of the same reason we look for who the person of God is in the Bible. There are things you just can't learn from a third party description. God's Holy Word is living. I still have to beat my head when I become confused or fearful because the answer was and is always more prayer and more Bible.

One thing to look for in any conversation, scripture. We can talk about God all day long, but if we won’t/don’t use His word, everything we have to say is completely arbitrary, since He has revealed Himself, His salvation, etc in His word.

    What is the gospel?
    1st Corinthians 15:1-4
    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Jesus Christ was the Son of God (God in the flesh born of a virgin.) sent to save us from our sin and punishment in Hell. (A burning lake of fire for eternity.) He was sinless and perfect and He died on a cross. No man killed him. He willingly went to the cross and gave his life for you and me so that we could be saved and go to heaven with him. While He was on the cross he bore our sin. He took God's punishment for our sin in our place so that we could be seen as righteous before God. His innocent blood needed to be shed. He was buried, and rose again after three days validating that God has accepted Jesus blood as atonement for us. By putting our faith on Jesus, God washes us in His precious blood and we are forgiven.
    Romans: 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    Romans 3:25
    25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Salvation is by faith, believing Jesus finished work on the cross and not by our own works.
Repenting(change of mind) from our own righteousness and believing in Jesus for salvation.
    Ephesians 2:8-9
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Just like any gift, you have to receive it.
    John 1:12
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
If you put your faith in Jesus shed blood as payment for your sins and believe He was buried and rose again. Your saved!
    However, If you would like to confess to Jesus you can pray something like this;
Jesus, I realize I am a sinner. I believe you are the Son of God and that you died for my sins on the cross and that you were buried and rose again. I now put my faith in you and believe that your blood washes me from all sin. I now trust in you alone to take me to heaven.
    Acts 16:30-31
30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house
If you put your faith in Jesus, God knows your heart. You can look forward to heaven! Amen!

As someone who's recently had a "mountain or giant" removed from their life, I would suggest this person look inward and ask with whom are they struggling over this mountain or giant? If you say satan than God's given you a means to withstand the temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13), if you say yourself then why are you not able to let it go? We know that God's power is not the issue so the reality is we either categorically and completely hate our sin (a sign of true repentance) or a piece of us still loves it. People want salvation BEFORE turning from their sin but repentance is what LEADS to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10, 2 Timothy 2:24-26, 2 Chronicles 7:14) not the other way around.
