I had a full grown stag leap out in front of me. I had no chance of reacting but Pre-sense started braking immediately. Although the deer was to close to avoid, pre sense reduced my speed from about 60 to about 30 before impact, drastically reducing the damage. That was in the dark on a wet winter road. I was very very impressed.

When it works correctly, it’s great
Thought it was a gimmick when I bought the car, but in the first 2 weeks I managed to get all the scenarios tested. Car in front slowed down, my car alerted me but I had my foot on the break. Backing up on a tight alley when a fast car came from the perpendicular street, my car completely stopped even before I saw that incoming car. And lastly a mother with a small child crossed the street running in an unmarked area and the car stopped.
My Audi a3 braked for me and prevented a crash I was so thankful for this system

Pre Sense actually worked on me today, not that i needed it i was parking, and one car came to me from the side, he was close but not for crashing into me, and when i put it into D the car suddenly stopped immediately, i thought i hit something but it was just the presense

Yesterday i had a car crash with my audi a5 2017 and system audi pre sense didn’t work!!! Why? I was going like 20kmh turning left and the other vehicle cut my way crashing on my front. My audi has done nothing!! Can someone tell me why? Thank you
First time mine came on was when i was backing out and probably got too close to the car next to me. This would have been nice on my acura that i just rear ended someone with last week 😑

Almost had an accident when the car infront me suddenly stops and i step on the brake immediately but my pre sense thinks I braked not much so it brakes more by itself.
It also safed me, I nearly crashed a car .

i have this on my car and it saved my life 2 years ago. I was texting and driving and almost rear ended a semi truck. I really have learned my lesson i am much safer when i text and drive now

it behaves like shit and even has system errors at 200km/h. full break without reason. this system is so dangerous, and you can't even permanently deactivate it.
@@jared-pm well that's definetly your car only because our A6 never made a full brake, only when it needs to. Otherwise it does peep some times but only that and we can deactivate the breaking guard.

Pre Sense is dangerous. It brake checks people when you least expect it. There is also no way to permanently disable it. Dealers know the issue but refuse to do anything about it. Buy a car with Pre Sense at your own risk. Here is a compilation from my dash cam: @

I have owned a pre sense car (Audi A4 B9) for four years and got only one false positive in four years and this was due to some shady roadwork patching. The patch of repaired concrete had the same colour (and different like the rest of the road) and width as the car in front of me. The pre sense thought the car in front of me was all of the sudden much closer and did hit the brakes for a short bit. Once it realized in a split second after it let go of the brakes.

But it warns you so late you’ve already prevented the accident yourself. I own a 2017 Audi S5 and a 2017 Honda Civic and the Civic’s system is much better at detecting potential crashes.

You can change in the settings if you want to be warned earlier
If the child is crossing a short road you will never catch with the pre- sense system the kid and is going to be very bad situation, even death for the crossing kid !!!
