This is the first dish that I made from all of your recipes and I must say that the finished product looks exactly the same way as the one that you did. This was good. Right balance of sweet, tangy, citrusy taste that's so refreshing. Looking forward to more recipes on your channel.

I made this a couple of weeks ago and it is so good! Next time I will make more sauce, enough to pour over it and rice.

Just made this but substituted lemon for orange and added some chili flakes. Really good! Thank you for the recipe! I’ve never been able to make a sauce thicken with cornstarch but this time it was flawless with your techniques!! Love your videos.

Absolutely delicious! After the chicken, we used the same marinade and sauce on fish slices - equally fabulous!! Next will be the same formulation on thin slices of pork tenderloin (we can hardly wait). This recipe is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Thanks and regards from Malaysia.

Marion, this is amazing!! SO crunchy & lemony. The chicken had such an easy marinate & when we fried it, it was so tasty by its self! Good idea to do these crispy chicken for sandwiches too! This is our “go to” Chinese lemon chicken recipe, thank you! Bonus: Another way to fry chicken. 😋💕
Marion ... what can I say girl ... it was absolutely delicious !! .... I just made this for me and my hubby for dinner and he all but licked the plate !! I did make a couple of alterations and used half plain flour and half cornflour and it was super crunchy and I substituted the Chinese wine for dry sherry. It was easy and no fuss to make and I pretty much had all the ingredients in my store cupboard :)) Much Love, Hugs and Blessings ~ Katie ❤🖤

Just made this. It's super good! The batter does get really sticky though. I recommend mixing the flour in on a pan or tray, not in a bowl.

I made this tonight using the recipe from another channel, but it's the same ingredients in different amounts. The version I made wasn't as sweet as this, but it was still good with a strong lemon flavor. The marinade alone is worth watching this video for; it makes perfect fried chicken.

Marion, recipe is gr8 and super easy to follow as always ... next time I will ease back on the lemon zest a bit for my personal taste :) .... given the intention to keep the dish light & fresh i was surprised at the the use of plain flour v corn starch (flour) ... awesome all the same :) .. ty

Hi Marion, I just love all your recipes, I've done a lot of them and this one was my first deep-fry chicken! Somehow, the flour didn't stick to the chicken though! It became a bit of a mess, I had the chicken on one side and then the flour became sticky with the marinade but the flour didn't stick to chicken with the marinade! What did I do wrong? Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!

OMG!!! It came out wonderful! What a smashing meal! I was afraid it would be to citrusy... Is that a word?? Anyway I didn't have any hot peppers so I just have a couple shakes of dried red pepper flakes and that made it a hit with the family! Thank you!

For lemon sauce I’d usually put a bit of chicken stock with thick gluppy honey, sugar ,lemon zest and lemon juice. No need for thickeners like corn flour

Hi Marion. Just a question, as I'm gonna need to fry a lot of these bits of chicken, can this be fried earlier on, then put aside for later? Will it still be ok when u cook it again with the sauce? Thnx...maybe overnight? Been making ur lemon honey sesame a few times now but only small amounts

Can you please tell me if is there any rule about using the flour and cornstarch. I am a bit confused..
Made it tonight and it tasted great! but my sauce after i added the cornflour went really thick i think the recipe for the stock part makes alot less than the video shows? should i double it next time?
Add little cornstarch n dilute in cold water first..add according to ur estimate and desired thickness
The chicken batter technique was PERFECTION! And the entire dish was delicious. I was suprised to find it a little TOO lemony, so don't be afraid to use less lemon if you don't have enough.
The batter for the chicken.. is it all purpose flour? Or cornflour?
So what do i do with all that oil? Can I use less like few tablespoons?
