- This is a video of my 1981 Yamaha XS650 Bobber. Parts include a 2 under DNA Springer, 36mm Mikuni carb with homemade intake manifold, Wise Guys Weld on Hardtail with a 5 inch stretch and a 3 inch drop seat, 40 spoke wheels, 21" front, 16" rear with 200mm tire.
A poor man's Bonneville without all the mechanical problems. These engines will run forever if you maintain them and they're every bit as classic.
this is most probably the cleanest and nicest XS 650 bobber re-built i have ever seen, awesome !
Not really one for bobbers per se' but your eye for style and proportion, is what sets this bike apart from all the rest. Simply stunning sir...well done.
Sweetest 650 Bobber I've ever seen !!!!!!! Love It.......
Thank you, appreciate it!
NiceRides is this for sale? If so please PM
@@nicerides31 i'd love to get a few specs this bike. I mean, we can see pretty much everything but it would be nice to know specifics.
That's one of the nicest bikes I've ever seen...and I'm 56. I've been itchin to have an xs650 bobber for a few years.
Well hurry up Adams time is ticking....
Top drawer ..exceptional...all of the individual styling elements are in perfect balance..simple...neat and unique.
Gorgeous bike! This is pretty much exactly what I'd love to build one day :)
X%
me too, but I have to hurry up, I am still 66 lol
I love that springer set up it's just sick
Great job, Man! Geometry of the bike looks perfect!
I love that bike. I feel that this particular build was what Heist was attempting to adopt & modify.
Sweet ! Love that you put forward foot controls on it too .
One of the cleanest beauties I have seen. Cheers.
Very very classy. I love the carb under the seat.
You did a killer job on this bike I love Yamaha bobbers
Holy jeez man, this bike is beautiful!
Wow.. Beautiful Bike... can wait to get one at the end of this year.
I have owned 2 ...one similar...and I follow them as a huge fan...and that my friends is one of the sweetest builds I have ever seen..BRAVO DUDE!!!!!...(can you build me one????....lol)
Reminds me of my shovelhead. Clean build man
holy crap! the idle sounds real badass
Great looking bike, very clean looking and nicely done
Nice intake manifold and everything else too.
Nice work the springer front end was a excellent addition to complete the build.
Im not a Bobber fan, But Damn this bike looks sweet as hell!!! And when you think of Bobbers and Choppers, You think of like...Harley Davidson or others that build big twins from the factory, But this being a Yamaha makes it that much more special and cool.... and Awsome! Great work, Great Build my friend!
thats a beautiful bike. the wide rear is just bad as ass... that springer sets it off bro. getting ready to take on a 78' 650 myself.. this video is the perfect inspiration to get the fire going..
Work of art!
That’s a really cool intake and a good looking bike
Love Springer front end bobbers
Damn,that's sweet! Very cool intake.
Lean and clean. Great job!
Nice toys.
I've always like the
Yamaha. So sweet
Gives me a tooth ache.
Nice job! My Dad is nuts over 650's and it is starting to rub off on me. Love the manifold on the intake. Makes a lot of sense to me as I hear balancing the carbs can be a bear.
Insane bike. Gorgeous
Excellent bike! Beautiful!
Loved the 70's 650's
Pretty slick just sounds like a two timed engine!
badass intake manifold!
Beautiful bike. I had two of them and looking for a good used one to do that same thing to!!
It rides like it should. It stops nice without a front brake.
how did you offset the front sprocket ? id love to stuff a 200 mm tire on my build
any mods to front sprocket to get chain to run straight? how wide is frame for tire to fit?
Definitely a cool looking bike!
Very, very cool build.
ive liked that intake since ive 1st seen it can u give sum info on it like what intake boots u have what size pf intake pipe is it steel or what??
Question: Where did you get that battery box cover? Did you make it?
Com esses condutores de ar vc aumentou muito o torque ficou show de bola e a economia TB .
where can one come across a springer front end? a buddy of mine is building one
How did you get it to rumble so slow at idle?
Pure class, man, Pure class.
Thanks, appreciate it!!
stunning bike
Doesn't get much cleaner than that...... oh wow, I wasn't expecting it had electric starter 👍
what size is that rear wheel other then 16", what is the width ?
I like your hand made intake manifold and where the carburetor is located.
It looks like you could have a little ram induction going on there. Probably
not, but there isn’t anything wrong with wishful thinking. Your bike is very
nice, clean lines and nothing that isn’t needed.
how did you get the 200 mm wheel on there?
killer scoot man, very nicely done
Thanks man! It scoots!
at 5'5 would reaching the handlebars be too hard? i know you said you were 6'
Very nice build..
Awesome damn bike man
now that's the proper way to do a bobber
This is what I would love own or build one I have 2 xs650 engine need repair thosss so I can start building custom can't wait and love ur oooo nice
Damn!!! So clean!! ❤❤❤
very nice bike. beautiful
Beautiful bike, where did you get the hardtail kit?
Nice job.....I recall back in the 80s a buddy had an XS650....we traded bikes one day for less a half hour....me on his Yamaha and him on my chopped Norton 750 Commando.....after a few miles we traded back....each almost equally hating riding the other's bike....I would think that the hardtail conversion might solve a lot of the XS6550 frame issues...
SWEEET little scooter! 👊😎💨👍
How big is that cam, with as much lump as that cam has I'm surprised that a single 36 is big enough, beautiful build, love the intake....
Damn! Very very nice bike man. Are the engine covers chrome or just polished really good?
I used a Harley style 16X5.5 wheel, with a offset front sprocket so the chain clears the tire.
can you tell me the measurement between your axle plates?
beautiful bike
Nice way to fill the void under the seat!
What wuld u charge to make an intake like that for me??
Awesome build. Video has that grand mal seizure feel to it tho. If I had more than one tripod I'd give you one.
Nice Bike and a Thumbs Up Liked for you.
Where did you get that intake? I got one from Joe Wiseguy but really want one like yours.
One sweet ride
Awesome!
Im intrigued by your air intake and carb set up. What frame? Custom made?
how does it ride with just the rear brakes? i am thinking of buying a xs650 set up almost like urs...but not as nice...lols...
Bad ass ! Nice work!
very nice bike!
This Bike even the Fonz” would be proud of ...
Where did you get the two into one intake manifold from?
What kind of rear rim you use ?
you def out-fancied mine :0
Beautiful
what is that intake and carb
where did you get the electric starter for that?
@NiceRides how do you find the performance and rideability with the mikuni and those long intake runners? better?
It runs great with the Mikuni. I never ran it with stock carbs, so I have nothing to compare it to.
bad ass man just clean bike!
Thanks Man.
Nice bike what sort of price did this cost you out together
It’s perfect!
That's one sick ride. What frame did you use?
EXCELLENT JOB. I HAVE AN 81 ALSO BUT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THAT. SOUNDS ABOUT THE SAME THOUGH. VERY NICE JOB!
Awesome build! i just picked up a xs650 and want to do the rear HD wheel and rotor conversion. Can you help me and tell me what was needed to the conversion so i can get an idea of what to get?
Did you ever find out about this? I'd like to do this too but cannot find anything. Help!!!!
Well done :) I would have loved to see the rear stretched another 6 inches....;))))
like this frame
Very, very cool!
I used a Gary Poh 1 inch. offset sprocket.
This bike your 650 xs and your cb 750 are my two favorite bikes on u-tube thats if your the guy that has the 750 too!
Stock frame??
Who made the frame?
