    I have 2 of each of the o ring 2 packs from Hasbro, one set opened, the others mint on card hanging on my walls as decor. As for the o-rings that come with the Transformers toys that become G.I. Joe vehicles, they are mint on card Baroness, Stalker, Zartan, and Zarana. Modern figures can fit in Megatron and Bumblebee in their vehicle modes. As for Soundwave, modern figures can't fit, but I bought vintage Thrasher and Monkey Wrench at a local toy store and put them inside the seats.

    This was a great trip down memory lane. Had a bunch of these as a kid, unfortunately the only if my G.I. Joe figures that managed to stick around was my original Destro and Ken from street fighter for some reason?

    I watched this video several days ago, and of course I've watched all your other GI Joe content... and then I found the episodes of the show here on YT. I started watching them and I really was amused by it as I remembered the series and toys from my childhood. I still recall doing chores for my grandmother for quarters so I could save up to buy another Joe and the fun back yard battles that helped me get through some bad times as a kid.
    And then I realized that I'm not having fun anymore. Work and life can really grind sometimes... so for the first time in probably 30 years I bought some Joes. I ordered some that I remember liking as a child: Leatherneck, Ripcord and a Crimson Guard. You inspired me to begin collecting them and having fun again. It's never too late to just embrace something that you like and spend some of that hard-earned cash on things that make you feel good.
    Thanks for the wholesome videos, and Yo Joe!

    Michael, those look great. I've often considered doing the layering thing you showed in a previous video; to better showcase my Joe figures on the shelf. My collection runs from 1982 - 1988, but I still like seeing some of the post '88 stuff.
    I think the Hydro Vipers were indeed genetically engineered, if I'm recalling the file card correctly.

      Major Blood has his arm armored because of his gyrojet pistol which is actually a missile launcher. His arm would be burning if it wasn't for the armor.

    • @MichaelMercy
      @MichaelMercy  Před 5 měsíci +2

      There's no reason why an armored arm couldn't be articulated though. Just sculpt the detail on but make it posable like all the the other figures.

    I enjoyed the video, thanks, but it's also another demonstration of how badly this line declined in the 90s. Even as kids here in Australia we were appalled at some of the stuff that got put out in the 92-94 period. Also, I think the 1988 Destro is pretty clearly the best version of that figure, and would be pushing for inclusion in my top 10 Cobra figures.
