- After Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe look at a Playboy magazine, Monica asks her friends a hypothetical question, “if you had to pick one of us to date who would it be?” Both Monica and Rachel answer with “I don’t know,” but Phoebe picks Rachel! Monica gets jealous and asks Phoebe why she was not picked. Phoebe calls Monica high maintenance and Rachel a push over. Both Monica and Rachel are mad at Phoebe and call her flaky, but to their surprise, Phoebe accepts being flaky.

I literally just watched a video on stoicism about how not to get easily offended, and I totally see that representation in Phoebe. Words simply can't offend her, she's unconquerable. I aspire to be like her.

Phoebe got meaner towards Chandler for no reason. She kept demeaning him.
Imo she got way worse. She used to be nice and sweet and truthful (remember season one where she says she never lies?), but on the second half of the series she's becomes manipulating, lies all the time to get her way, and is a hypocrite who will say something (and sometimes guilt-trip the others into something) but then turn around and do exactly the opposite the moment it's convenient to her. Plus, she becomes nasty to Chandler for no reason, constantly putting him down and even telling him that no one has a lower opinion of him than she does.

Phoebe has a strange yet strong character, and I love that about her. This scene is probably one of my favourites involving Phoebe. She accepts herself and her flaws, which presents her as a mature person. The way she handled this situation was genius, love her ❤

Yes, I love the episode when she disagrees with Ross on science versus belief. Even though Ross is very intelligent, she made him look very childish. She was more interested in being open minded than appearing right.
What this shows is that none of them are perfect and they all have their respective flaws.
T C- i love that episode too. And how she also was just kinda messing with him the whole time. There's a whole lot to phoebe. I love all the friends, but personally my favorites are chandler and phoebe.
They each have maturity in different areas:
- Monica is the most parental
- Phoebe is the most self assured
