Sabonis definitely deserves more respect than he gets. I'd take him over a lot of other bigs in the league and you know he's gonna play almost every game and put up his regular stats. Never eye popping stats really other than his triple double ability but he's more reliable imo than AD and any of the bigs in Cleveland rn. I wouldn't take him over Bam but it's not that far off. On a good team would definitely be a piece to winning a title
AD has bad games but it's been only like 5 out of the 60 games already played. AD plays both sides
@everythinglakers1713 AD refuses to be a true center and bang with other good bigs, would rather be a wing or guard lockdown on the perimeter. Sabonis can't guard other good bigs either but AD is more diva in the paint. Talent wise it's AD fs but if im tryna win a chip I can't expect AD to play like a top 5 player all the time like his contract expects. Sabonis consistently plays good enough for his contract.
More reliable than AD? Stop it. In the playoffs Sabonis again will not be as effective because he’s not comfortable nor efficient in the mid range. Don’t even get me started on the defensive end. De’Aaron will more than likely have to carry the scoring load again and they will lose in the first or second round. Ad is miles better. 🤷🏿♂️
@@lotuslife3239AD is not a true center, he’s a power forward. The lakers for some reason refuse to actually get him a center to pair him with because they are cheap. He’s gained weight like they wanted him too, sacrificing speed and quickness, he does bang in the post, he’s just not as strong or as big as some of the other centers because again he ISN’T a center. Why was it ok that Garnett didn’t want to play center and whatever team he was on would get an actual big man next to him, therefore letting him roam on defense, where he is best, be himself and amplify his defensive capabilities, but the same can’t be done for AD? Btw he is carrying this team on defense but whatever. When they won a chip he was a POWER FORWARD, next to Dwight, Javale , etc. They said nah we want you at center even though he clearly is best at power forward, it makes no sense. Sabonis (who is also a natural power forward) was a no show in the playoffs last year, AD was giving you 40 and 20 some nights. This is not a discussion between the two. 🤦🏿♂️

Okay so looking at the replay in 0.25 speed made me realize that if we give Sabonis the benefit of the doubt with the third to last step then this wouldn't be a travel. I'm honestly not sure why I thought it was 5, I guess I thought he was holding the ball? Either way I was wrong and the ball wasn't gathered in his hands when I thought it was before.
