I have never much of a showa fan but seeing those fish could easily make me change my mind. Some absolutely stunning fish with phenomenal sumi and beni. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Knowing that the Kase Showa come from Sekiguchi bloodline, it isn’t really a surprise to see when Beni completely disappears from some of these. I have seen lots of Sekiguchi “Shiro utsuri” for sale knowing full well that Sekiguchi doesn’t breed Shiro Utsuri. These are Showa that have lost all of their Beni.
Sekiguchi isn't the only one though although I rank a lot of farms by the quality of their general koi and Sekiguchi for me is a place where you go to buy the higher level only.
Watching this I realise I Don't have 1 single show stopper in my Pond might have to shop with you soon :) great vid as always thanks for sharing your progress !

Some years ago I was watching one of Evo's early videos, of a dealer in Luxembourg. I later looked at the dealer's website online, and he had some Cheese Showa. What? It took me a minute to realize that the Auto-Translate had mistaken Kase for the German for cheese.
