Steph Curry took time out of his busy Sunday schedule to remind us what it looks like when a superstar scorer gets fucked over by bad calls. After an elbow to the head and a body check which sent him down to the baseline with no foul, Steph decided that it was important to teach the Clippers' personal ref who the fans came to see (hint: it's not the refs that are driving ticket prices up faster than Tesla's stock).
After hitting the last 3, Curry assigned a technical foul to the referee, which was confusing to say the least. Security escorted the referee out of the building, and he was last heard shouting nonsensical insults like "You'll never win a ring without KD!" and "The next 5 years are mine!"
Warriors are now 18-2 on the season. - Sport
So it looks like a lot of people think this wasn't a foul or was a soft foul...but it's very obvious. Check this video I uploaded with the slow motion angle (visible in this video too). czcams.com/video/3N8Oknb6mUU/video.html
Elbow to the head especially on a drive? Foul every time, and probably a flagrant every time too. The NBA is definitely softer now but this was a blown call.
There were several fouls in all of these clips. The inconsistency the league has allowed this season from the officials is pretty unacceptable.
Even if it was a soft foul, a foul is a foul
Thx for uploading the slow mo video, he fully elbows Curry in the head.
Curry had the whole left side of the lane, yet tried to go to the right side....even though Mann was right there.
That's why I really don't watch basketball anymore. The ball carrier expects the defender to have to get out of the way....they have a right to be there. The announcer said it best at 0:59: "I know Steph initiates it"....yeah, that's literally the definition of an offensive foul. Steph went up against a person a foot taller than him by literally jumping right at him....and expecting a foul.
I think maybe the problem is that every camera angle shows Steph flying through the air at the defender attempting to draw the foul. The announcers even admit he initiated the contact..
He’s gonna win Final’s MVP this year, come back when he does
He finally won it.
You bet he did
W
You were right lol
Hope you’re back.
This was the first time I've watched a Stephen Curry game live. I obviously know he's the greatest shooter of all time from all the stats, clips and talks I've seen, but there is something that is just SO magical watching him go and do this live... it's undescribable. I'll never forget watching this game live, what an absolute LEGEND
Same here man it was definitely a night to remember

Nahh ive seen curry struggle this much before. I stop doubting this mans ability when he proved me wrong in the playoffs against the rockets. When people doubt him his motivated and he will bounce back everytime
I'm 90but still enjoy watching the Warriors They all play so well together.
You sound cool. They do play well together. It’s do fun to watch.
The only player that could give a referee a tech 😂

It’s crazy how everyone missing this version of curry when he’s been here all along. He had a lil slump yes but even with that hes about to take his team to the finals 💯🤣🤣
A little slump? Yes he’s certainly recovered from it, but it was a historically horrible slump. He was impacting his team negatively, and with such a high PER prior to the slump, the decline is record breaking.
It wasn’t just a little slump. A slump refers to when someone’s skills decline for a short period of time for various reasons.
Someone shooting a slightly worse percentage for a few games, is a little slump.
This was one of the worst slumps ever recorded from any non-bench player in the history of the NBA.
You know ball
@Michael Hawk it was a historic slump though
@@Crying2Death see hm that little slump ain’t matter? They still won 🥇 that’s why it’s little cuz it don’t matter

After that three point shoot the taunt of "T" was hilarious 😂
This will become a classic forever
I remember watching Kobe go for 50 against Seattle Sonics after getting a tech also.

We all miss this Stephen Curry
Last game before his slump
He was this guy yesterday!!!
Makes me sad when I see people write shit like this. It must be so sad watching basketball when you're not a player yourself.
Just some things you can never understand that much. 😔
Why does everyone say that? What happened to him? Sorry, I dont really don't watch basketball anymore..
@@IsmaelRodriguez45 he went through a major slump in 2 months where he shot bad. BUt the last 2 weeks he's been back at it again and shooting good
When its all said and done....we are coming back to this clip right here
When he teched himself I lost it!
I can watch this guy all day..Steph is one bad ass baller and that's on the real tip!
Nice to see curry out of the slump again in the playoffs. Crazy how people say the slump was 4 months long though, ever since january. Curry had 48% fg in 24 points shooting (while being pass first) in February, and throughout 8 games he averaged 51 40 100 splits on 24 ppg.
"I'm telling you, if I'm the Clipper I'd be very afraid right now."
He’s playing through bilateral hand injuries, not calling fouls like that is terrible
A ref shouldn’t call fouls depending on if a player is injured or not. A foul is a foul and they should call them that way. It clearly was a foul. NBA refs are 🗑

Got to laugh at others trying to emulate Steph’s shots. The whole league tries to copy him but this guy is unique.
I love when Steph is aggressive and passionate like that.. Dont take that bs from these bs refs.
You don't want to get him angry. You would not want to see him angry.
Just like Brady never make him mad.

all of you are being so dramatic about missing 'this version of curry' that it's hilarious.
yk everyone slumps sometimes, right? Curry's as human as the rest of us, he'll find his form again.
I'm 90 and love watching the Warriors. All play so well together. My very favorite is Klay..
Ahh yes. He did find his form. Finals mvp boi
I’m so grateful for this guy to be on my favorite team
Curry didn't smile one time during game 2 of the NBA finals, and dropped 29 points including five three-pointers. Well on his way to his first NBA finals MVP. Especially considering in their losing effort he dropped 6 threes in the first quarter of game 1, an NBA finals record. Dude is in an entire other galaxy
It's nice that the commentators knew what's going to happen
i miss this version of curry man.
I love this man. Enough said.
The Glazing is crazy
Definite foul, he nails Curry's head with his elbow
Bro, your descriptions are just out of this world 😂
You can tell he wanted to throw that Mouth Guard, I was begging for him to do it.
He learned his lesson about that in the past. Probably would've gotten another tech and then reaaaaaally lit the place up.
I died when Steph gave the team a tech😂😂😭
1:18 Steph catching a tech for losing his temper is just. But this ref should be fired for this kind of nonsense.
Thats the problem, the refs dont ever have any consequences. Like a 25,000 fine would get him right..lol
not an American here but i like basketball well enough...what exactly happened here?
Stop. It wasn’t a foul.
@@newagain9964 Stop, it was. One, #14 was in the restricted area. Two, he didn't even play the ball...like at all.

Amazing Curry shots
Steph is still there!!!
He’s one dude you don’t want to make mad
Curry gives me Kobe vibes
JTA looking out for Steph🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s the other guy just so gently carrying Curry for me lol. Such a cute team.
Steph was looking for some external motivation. He knew him leaning in would create a collision.
I would've been watching out if I was the ref man. As soon as they called that tech, steph looked like he was gonna go after him man.
I love Steph!
He initiated all of that contact. To me that’s a play on. Angry Curry is dangerous though. Making it rain.
Ok I see the bump on the head now. Hmmm, I still think play on but I could understand a foul being called.
@@KarlMalowned32 lol you are like me will respond to my own comment when I change my mind. I did that last week
@@KarlMalowned32 yeah you‘re right. But in this game, the refs were calling every contact on the clippers and none on the warriors. that added some oil to the fire
i think he was trying to do an up and under layup thats why he was going hard right
@@KarlMalowned32 Nah you're right for the most part but the calling in this game was one sided in the warriors favor which is why he got mad when the foul was called

this steph came out in game 4
That fader 😮💨🔥🔥🔥🔥

"Angry Steph" unlocks God Mode.
Lol that offensive foul call was WILD!
4:00 this man lifting wtf
He was angered for getting hit in the back of the head
I love it. No one can stop gods plan just put in the work 🙏
Don’t you ever doubt that man
Seems like the clippers like pissin Steph off....and he always ends up going off for 30-40 points every time it happens.
The guy literally elbowed Steph in the head and it’s not a foul?… Lol.
man i love steph
Most dangerous player when provoked, just enjoy watching him play
He is the best in the world and has been since there firstchampionship.Bottom line God bless him and family.
Defense was clearly established straight up before steph LUNGED INTO HIM!!! the one angle that shows steph's imstigated contact was showed ONCE! Clearly no foul was the call. He didn't draw contact...he MADE CONTACT. GREAT CALL.
Steph is a beast...but used to getting some of those no-calls. The man plays straight up Defense and steph barrels into him.
I don't disagree entirely, but it's also relative to how the rest of the game is getting called. And, actually Steph does not really get a lot of calls- I think he makes it hard for the refs to tell if there was a foul since he falls pretty much every time he goes up (partly to protect his ankles). I think in this game it was already built up frustration from earlier that erupted- I remember they were calling it close and ticky-tack on the other end against the Warriors and he hadn't been getting the same kind of calls- it's rare to see Steph get that heated, so you know something was already brewing... it wasn't about just one play.
I disagree entirely, Mann is moving forward. Defensiv cylinder going in offensive cylinder, clear defensive foul. Definitely bad call. The offensive foul call on Curry's 3 just after is even worse. It underlines the ref's earlier error, he doesn't accept to be wrong. God ref with first bad call wouldn't have done the second offensive foul call.
what steph does is legal period.sorry but thats the facts.
Steph gets fouled a lot because of his size and does not get the call that’s why he gets so mad
contact to stephs head is a flagrant
Thank you Steph Curry. BFA
Larry Bird sleeps well at night knowing he made the three point shot such a huge thing. He probably watches Steph and gets that same fire in his belly like.. "Shit! The guy could smoke me!"
The announcers already know that he's going to be a Psycho 🤣
This is exactly what's wrong with the NBA. Refs miss a call, players react to that missed call, and then they get teched. So instead of walking away with 2 free throws and what should've been a foul, they walk away with no free throws and a tech. Ridiculous
Lmfao I came back to this now and laugh cause it was literally how I saw the season going I knew we was gonna win
Priceless ✨✨
The last glimpse of him being an MVP after he broke the record he shoots trash but he is still a good guard.
These refs are clippers fans!!!!
When he smiles, he’s about to go offff
I like the commentator's concern for the clippers. He knew it would be disaster for those guys. 😁
Ref don't want the warriors to win
No time
Then why did he awaken the beast?
That was a ridiculous reaction to that "Foul" the guy was playing defense and they collided mid air. Curry initiated the. Contact
Still a foul. Clearly you know very little about basketball.
@Joe Strozewski the reason they didn't call the fould is because steph drew the contact. He could have shot the ball earlier. In stead he went for the reverse. Rules changed from last year
That Tech Taunt go crazy
Now that’s crazy
Where was the hard foul? I saw him jump into a guy. Jordan was thrown to the ground many times not just bumped.
I agree, the defender went to block and they bumped. Basic foul.
"I know steph initiated the contact but the other guy who jumped straight up should be called for a foul."
Yeah it sounds stupid, but the amount of horrible foul calls in the game was crazy. That wouldn’t have been the weirdest foul if it was called.
Steph angled in. Not very classy. He knew it was coming.
Well Im pretty sure that situation you referenced has come up and they call fouls anyway. But consistency is impossible to expect from so-called professionals
But on a more important note, good on Steph to not meltdown and get a second tech. He then calmed down and went into beast mode with that barrage of 3s and loved that shade he threw at the end. Teachable moment when things like that go down, retaliate through your game.
The GoAT 🐐 of the show.
Def Curry be kill'em wit da 3's
Steph Curry did not go "Psycho" as rudely described in the heading of this article. Steph was understandably angry after being fouled hard & the ref obviously was unconcerned. Being angry does not equate to psycho. Don't mess with Steph...he's a living legend & one of the nicest ballplayer's to date.
Psycho is a compliment in this case karen
i see karen is watching bball
STEPH CURRY IS THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY, THAT SAID HE SHOULD BE MVP.
The way the other candidates have been playing, i don’t think so
Love it!
