@fandangobrandango7864 it depends on how you value your time. I value mine at minimum my hourly pay rate. It can take a good hour to cut and cook chips in an oven, and it also involves a bit of effort. Whereas you can chuck that straight in the oven or microwave and just continue with your life until it is ready. I can easily spend a tenner at the shops on each break, and that still works out better value than pissing about making it at home when I could be doing other stuff that needs seeing to e.g. actually getting a chance to relax after a long day at work

I understand it's a staple and favourite for many.
But here in Australia it's either chips and gravy, chips and tomato sauce, chips and chicken salt or chips and vinegar.
    But never curry sauce!
Besides, Mayflower Curry products aren't available on Aussie supermarket shelves.
    It's an online order thing.
At one stage there, McDonalds had a curry dipping sauce for the nuggets. It wasn't very popular, too sweet and too weak.

Garlic and onions are actually extremely rare allergens which is why there is no requirement to list them as allergens on the ingredients list. Strictly speaking people can have allergic reactions to anything, so they have to limit the list otherwise everything would be in bold.
A lot of people claim to be allergic to things when in fact they just have a bit of an intolerance. True allergies can be deadly

So, yes, some things people say are 'allergies' are actually 'intolerances', but many people have allergies that aren't (or aren't expected to be - obviously it can change with repeated exposure, particularly with certain types of thing) anywhere near deadly. (Hayfever, for example, is an allergic response to pollen, but it's generally mild to quite unpleasant.)

Goldfish brand curry sauce is better than Mayflower. They both go stale quickly when opened so best to divide and freeze portions.

Hi Garath I know that this would considerably raise your costs but, for things like this could it be an idea to get Two and then compare what it's like in the Oven and what it's like from the Microwave? Just a thought buddy

Love you vids, honest and enjoyable, would love to see you cook multiple in different ways basically microwave (always if thats an option) and the other way either oven or airfryer... and advise on what you think is best as lots of people use microwaves to save money however if the product is much nicer in the oven that woild be good to know as i would always want to cook my food in the best way, thanks and keep up the great work

I saw you had tried the Goldfish brand curry sauce and have to recommend you try the Madras version, it's not like an Indian madras but tastes even better than the original Goldfish, as close as you can get to a takeaway sauce.

Tried this the other day, not too bad but not up to mayflower standard, that time is too long for the microwave, it dried up the sauce a bit, chips were a bit harder.

Haven't tried these ones... yet. Tried most of the others though. The chips looked like they had a bit of a crunch to them unlike when you nuke them, on saying that, 12 minutes might crisp them up a bit

At least you can do a meal in one move rather than 2. It saves cooking the chips and then making the curry separate. :)

I recently tried a Morrisons £3.25 chilled meal because it was reduced to clear. Dry Italian mozzarella sauce sticking the pasta strips together, with about 5 small chicken pieces. It was pretty bad, and the chicken was so tough I threw it away. I would have been really annoyed if I had paid full price. Iceland £1 ready meals are usually more reliable.

Think the sauce should be separate so you can have crispy chips and dip in sauce. Chips like they are must be soggy in the sauce.
