After high school, I lost my best friend. Such a loss took me down a road of drug addiction, and alcohol abuse. Since covid, I’ve lost 5 more . . . . I got clean. Completely cold turkey. Not to mention I just got out of a 5 year toxic relationship ship. Cut ties with an old friend that’s been using me from the start. And for the first time . . . I’m beating the demons inside my head. In order to rebuild what’s left of my life. This song. It may be triggering for some. But this song is what I’ve been battling for longer than a decade. And I’m happy to say, there is a light, at the end, of the tunnel. This song means more to me than any you’ve made thus far. Absolutely stunning. Triggering for some. For others, it gives people, Hope. Keep up the good work. Ignore the critics. And reap the rewards coming your way. You deserve them.

As someone who struggled with general anxiety disorder since early childhood and depression since early teens, and had to deal with some kind of trauma that led into self hatred and depreciation, which eventually led to suicide attempts because I couldn't bare my own voice in my head telling me awful things and even though plus a lot of scars because of self harming (since age of 15) I feel blessed to be able to know music that talks about this. New favorite song for me. I love all HCU, but this original, damn it's hitting harder than diamonds.
I already had icon for hire as a way to escape the demons in my head, now I have you. Thank you for the beautiful art you're putting out on the world.

This hits hard, dealing with mental health issues all my life and many of my thoughts you summed up in these lyrics. This was amazing and you captured the struggles of mental health well.

The song was amazing, but I feel like the video production is heavily overlooked. For an independent group who has to rely on/raise their own money for the budget, the production of this video is insane. The quality is up there with that of videos from artists with major labels.

I've been listening to this song on and off since it came out, and after this whole year of battling my eating disorder and depression and slowly losing more and more as time goes on despite how hard I try it really feels so accurate to how it feels. You know something's wrong and you know you need to do your best to get out of the spiral, but damn if it doesn't wear you down, and there's no one who can really help you except yourself
