The overall impression is that only the USA was involved in Korea. The British Army's units fought in desperate battles with The Gloucesters acquitting themselves well under challenging circumstances. Apart from that it was an informative documentary.
Besides the United States, Great British, Canada, Australia, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Columbia, Ethiopia, South Africa, New Zealand, Türkiye, Greece, Thailand, Philippines, and Luxembourg sent fighting units. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, India, Italy contributed military hospitals and field ambulances to the cause.
P.S. the footage of the H-19. As a retired professional photographer, if I didn't have good footage I sure as hell would not put crap, out of focus pictures out there. That would cost me many jobs down the road.
Thank you for making this. My Grandfather fought in Korea and I have been getting books on the war lately to learn about this conflict. It is truly the "Forgotten War" I haven't found many books on this subject compared to the American Civil War, WW1, or WW2 which I have found hundreds of books. So again thank you for making this documentary about it.
About 10 years ago History Channel ran a series :America, The Story of Us. I was looking forward to it. Once the timeline reached the Korean War era, 1950-1953, it just completely skipped it! Not even ONE WORD about it. Went from WW2 to the Space Race. Couldn't believe it. Thank you for your Grandfather's service!

My father was a machine gunner in the army at the Chosin reservoir....he said it was so cold he would ziphis sleeping bag over his head a light his zippo to keep from getting frostbite....hispostion got overran by Chinese and koreans....he got shot in the face and blown up with grenades....he said he was throwing the grenades out his hole as fast as he could but one got em.....he earned a silver star that night for not abandoning his position...he is credited with overv500 kills in the battle..my dad said they were so close the cotton from the Koreans winter jackets was falling like snow around him...the 30 cal rounds from his machine gun would blow the cotton out their jackets in little puffs...the Koreans took the hill that night and thought my dad was dead...Americans retook the hill the next day and found my unconscious father...he woke up on a hospital ship...he was very lucky...I miss my dad...he was a badass and mean as hell but I love him

That would entail providing extensive training of South Korean troops, commanders, and maintenance personnel on top of providing a constant supply of fuel, spare parts, and ammunition. South Korean dictator was very unpopular and wanted to start a conflict to secure his personal power. One of the reasons he had limited assistance from US, was to discourage him from starting an open conflict.

Why does the narrator speak so slowly? His voice is sooo annoying I found this hard to watch and didn't complete the video, which is a shame as it looks like the best documentary about the Korean war.
