Honestly didn't expect to get the ideas for this one as soon as I did, but I hope I did the legacy of this franchise's lolcowdom justice in this video. At worst, I can just say I buttfumbled. It's still a fascinating franchise to look into, however. - Sport

To those that don't get why the Mo Lewis hit on Drew Bledsoe was a butt fumble, let me example why. It was the 2 week of the 2001 season. Jets vs Patriots. During one play, Mo Lewis nearly killed Bledsoe, forcing to be taken out of the game, which then would let Tom Brady take over, and well, the rest is history. That hit basically changed the AFC, and probably the rest of the NFL.
I wonder if Tom Brady sends Mo Lewis Christmas gifts to him and his family.

Their draft history is abysmal. I just went through their past 35 years on Pro Football reference and even when they get an actual hit in the first round they fail to to keep the player past their rookie contract. Most of the good players that they drafted spent the majority of their careers elsewhere. The only exception to this is D'Brickishaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold, two pro bowl talents both drafted in the first round by the Jets in 2006. Besides that even when they hit all they end up doing is wasting that player's talent for a few years until they quit and go play for a better team where they aren't squandered.
I'm surprised that Tree didn't even mention the Idzik Twelve.
