PLOT OF THE SONG
"They were happily married. He went to another city for work and got entangled with another woman. She went to the city in his search and discovered her husband’s relations. She was dejected and humiliated. After a couple of years, her husband’s affair ends, and he returns back to her. But she rejects him".
After "GEET GAYAA PATHROON NE" -a span of more than 25 years, Kishori Amonkar ji has not only sung but also composed the music for the film ‘Drishti’ (1990).
Amonkar ji composed and sang Ek Hi Sang, written by Vasant Dev. Amonkar sings the lyrics, “Ek hi sang hote jo hum tum, kaahe bithura” (We should have been together, why this grief?). Her striking alaaps are full of agony and anguish and cadence are deeply reflective of the emotions that embellish her performance.

Dilipkumar was not on par with the talents of Madhubala o r for that matter many of his heroines like Vaijayantimala etc who acted with full talent and this gentleman forgetting that she is acting, fell in love with them, thinking that she is in love with him in reality also, so was the perfect acting by his heroines... he built an ego to be rejected by a talented Madhubala.

Why are pairing Dilip with more talented Madhubala. They weren't in love as being propagated for publicity only. If he was realy in love he would not ever Mary with other girl in a way of Suraiyya. Secondly he coould not give a realy hard slap to Madhu during shooting of Mugle Azam.

how could a beautiful Madhu could accept such harsh response from Dilip? in all fims he behaves harshly with his all of his heroines. not surprising that he was forced to marry a girl of half age finding bo proper match who choose him the natural course. the couple Dilip/Saira is unnatural and by no count is a love marriage as Kishor and Madhu had or devanand/surriyya. His ego was supreme and was not leaving any chance to refect it in hs all affairs with his heroins who also had self respects.. It is Madhubala who rejected him not otherwise as stories arr]e built-in media..He slaps very hard in reality to Madhu in as scene while filming MUgale Azam is well known.. which girl will choose such an angry/violant man? so in short the filming of such a beautiful song on this filmy couple is inappropriate to the taste of the song.
