Never in the world imagined WIL and Peterson to be in the same screen.
He said it on his Patreon back in september.
Can't say I'm too excited about this.
@@GabrielWJensen FMPOV Jordan Peterson is spreading toxic 'wisdom' that has a negative impact on society while appearing as some kind of guru for his followers.
For example he just ridiculed climate research in general. I don't know if this helps us.
@@topdaeh2672 Thank you 🙏
@@themorethemerrier281 Yup. He may be quite competent at counseling people who need help with setting goals and establishing positive behavior patterns, but when he talks outside his field of expertise with the same level of confidence he makes a fool of himself. But there are millions who take his word as gospel on every topic, which is quite sad.

You’re doing God’s work

Now I can finally attach a face to that voice that has been allowing me to grow greatly throughout all these years.

I love his voice.

@@taylanulukr9081 I support your question!
Your wish came true.
This is the greatest unexpected collab of All time. No questions asked.
Ikr when I saw it I was absolutely thrilled 😂
Thanks ❣
Best collaboration!
You have to walk the line between order and chaos. Too much order and you will never take any risks, you are imprisoning yourself in a state of stagnation, with no room to grow and change. Too much chaos, and you will be completely lost, with no foundation or pathway, endlessly wandering through a dark forest, in circles forever.
Is order and chaos the same for everyone?
It seems like something that represents order for some people represents chaos for other people, like the police, for example.
If you're a rich white person, all your interactions with police represent order, if you're a poor black person, police ain't nothing but chaos.
wonderful colab!
phenomenal
When you know hes been mewing for the past three years.....
Turns out after 21 minutes, the meaning of life is to clean my room.
Should of listened to my mum.
Two of my favourite people on CZcams.
Jokes aside, it's difficult for people to take a step towards change, let alone the whole journey which may not be guaranteed to reach a conclusion that we are satisfied with.
Perhaps in a way when people say that they believe there's no meaning in life, it's because we are afraid or extremely skeptical on a subconscious level that we can ever reach a state of being that we can be happy with.
It may be traced again back to the primordial emotion of fear, which just shows that it is probably normal to feel this way, even from time to time, nothing to be ashamed about it.
I've always said; you're inner space and outer space are reflections of one another. If your personal space is cluttered, so is your brain and vice versa.
And then you expand "your room"
And take benzos sometimes just like Jordan Peterson did if you wanna follow his role model
I found this as the most informative Jordan Peterson video.
Joseph i wish you all the best
Yesssssss.
Here at the right time. Love this.
Took JP 11 minutes to answer the first question

It's so interesting to hear these two familiar voices after one another
Never seen comments being so polarized before on this channel.
This was mostly a monologue, Petersson is hard to interview
Possibly because people are expecting straight forward answers.
Wow that statement at the end about clutter, obstacles, and negative emotions really hit me hard. So thankful for this video for this tidbit alone, though the other gems are thought fodder as well. Thank you always for your interesting videos!
Thank you king....
great video
What's next? Interview Uri Geller and Deepak Chopra?
Amazing job man. The way you gather this information is worth of every second of the content always.
What I've Learned, you are pursuing the most important topics of today and to many people. Keep up the great work!

Been a huge fan of Peterson since he blow up in 2015, but must admit. I'm a little tired of his biblical view and solutions to most things.
Might be my own fault for overexposing myself to his content and books.
Can't get enough of "What I've learned" anyways - Keep up the great work man.
You're not alone in your feelings. It was a joy to discover Peterson way back when, but kind of tired of him at the same time.

You could see Joseph's face of excitement when speaking to him.
To see someone speak to someone who admires and see that admiration reflected in his smile was lovely.
Great job Joseph, I'm eager to see the whole interview soon.
Finding happiness and purpose in life isn’t black and white. I think we have to define it on an individual level. For whoever’s reading this I hope you find what you’re looking for ❤️
And to you too, hope you find yours.
Still we're all human and there is a common thread in what gives life meaning to most of us
The thing is, it can't be too vague of a definition either, lest you become lost in the overwhelmingly limitless sea of possibilities. That is an actual type of identity crisis, "overwhelming freedom", which is the one most people encounter in modern society. If you can be anything, then what should you pick? And to that you add the fact you can't really be literally everything because you got limits and you got a recipe for existential paralysis.
No matter what path you later take, you got to start somewhere, you got to get to the core, you need an anchor. Every ship needs one, no matter where it goes or what its purpose is.
nothing is more certain to make you unhappy than the pursuit of happiness
@@JavierGomezX It is within the constraints of reality that true creativity is born.

Peterson spends about 20secs highlighting importance of narrative.
I had to read two thicc boys about the importance of narrative when describing selfhood (sources of the self by Charles Taylor) and one describing modern ethics (after virtue by Alasdair MacIntyre). Apparently, it’s incredibly significant lol
This is gold!
Wow it s quite an event to see the face behind the vlog, you create amazing content, congrats

One video singlehandedly broke the genjutsu😂
This was very hard to follow, and I don't really understand the points and the connections. Is there any chance you could summarize this in like a 5 minute video that's easier to understand. Would be greatly appreciated
You don't understand cuz there's not much to understand, Jordan Peterson is a religious quack
That's because what Peterson talks about is logically incoherent
this video just made my day! you two are people i look up to a lot, thanks!
Interesting

Just heard it 👌
Thank you you both for doing this. Meaning is such an abstract but wonderful topic. I especially liked the discussion about awe.
Where is the full interview ??
Great video!
Life has so many opportunities that everyone's meaning of life is different. That's the beauty of it. I have absolutely no interest in hearing even a word about religion or spiritualism, but I understand that Peterson can't grasp this feeling of absolute disdain. I find joy in science as I love understanding how the world works technically, and I feel that I have a clearer vision of beauty as I can perceive the value of everything I have around me if I understand where it came from more than if I just think of it from a religious point of view, just my opinion.
For me the most important thing that Jordan Peterson proposed to us is this: "You have to call on. . . . . you have to note when you are being called to be more than you are and you have to attend to that very carefully because life is extraordinarily difficult and to manage it in a manner that makes it acceptable. . .or perhaps more than acceptable ... you have to be everything you could be." I am reminded of "Know thyself" and "To thine own self be true." Thank you JEverett and Jordan Peterson for a dazzling ride!
Thanks for the comment, Sue!
I also liked this idea of being "called to be more than you are"
Highlights what Peterson's mission seems to be (more or less): To encourage the individual to make the most out of life by doing the work necessary to imbue it with meaning (which would at the same time defend them from adopting an unproductive and frankly worthless nihilistic view of the world)
P.S. You're telling me a "hamlet" isn't a small piece of ham??
@hasslfoot No one thinks that, no. Not even Peterson. He's explicitly stated that, in this interview actually. You don't have to listen to, agree with him, or even think highly of him, but it seems reasonable to assume that harassing random people in CZcams comments that felt they have gained something from this, indistinguishable from actually gaining something from it mind, is a thousand times less valuable than something that's been reiterated over the entire course of human history.
