Good points - I just got a C70 after shooting with a C100 M2 for years - obviously a big step up. It's really really hard to go back to anything less after you've shot with built-in NDs, Audio, and excellent battery life. I knew the pros and cons of the C70 when I got it and so far no regrets. I came from a super 35 sensor so I understood the crop and low-high limitations. Canon's last firmware updates were significant and part of my decision to go for the camera. There's no perfect camera and you really have to look at your work and shooting style. I do miss the EVF but I'm working on a DIY solution for that. I feel the camera is still overpriced, but I bought one used for $3500 that I thought was a good price point. I'm sure the C70 will serve me fine in 2024.

I just bought one in 2024 but I can't really tell you why.... I had to return the R6 Mark II because I didn't want it because of long GOP format being the only thing I could use for 4K 60. Now I'm stuck with the crop sensor on an a++ camera body. Other than the damn screen
Have you had any issued with the screen coming lose? I am wanting to confirm if canon has fixed it in newer models. I don't want to deal with problems in a $5000 camera.
No issues out of mine so far!
They did improve the hinge on the newer cameras, but the display is still a joke (and I own one). Canon could have done much better.
The c70 is too expensive for what this apsc camera does. If the new full frame blackmagic camera costs 2500 the canon should be no more than 3000-3500 at best
Blackmagic definitely has a good offering with the new full frame one, but I believe the C70 offers enough distinguishing features to make it worth the higher price!
Super 35 and apsc aren’t the same thing. It’s the best camera for the money in the market
@@Kewksdesign True, the Dual Gain Output sensor also just gives so much dynamic range!
@@Kewksdesign apsc sensors are about the same size asc super 35 if i remember right the c70 has the same crop factor as their apsc line
The C70 is the best camera I've ever owned and I have owned them all over the past 20yrs.
