    My cat was standing under the TV, mesmerized by your cat in the garden. My cats don’t go outside because we have an in-ground pool and crazy neighbors, but they sure do love eating the fresh catnip from the garden. Thank you for this video, I think I’ll be able to adapt your tips to my warm climate.

    I really just want the pearl garlic! I couldn't find them in the stores anymore & found out they're 1st year elephant garlic 😂. I've planted them now & will use half as mono bulb then wait for the 2nd year for the split cloves.

    Mixing baking soda which is basic and humic acid which is an acid is basically resulting in a chemical reaction with each other and degrade each other's properties....i don't think itll have the same effect on the garlic once the chemicals have been degraded. You should do seperate rinses of baking soda and humic acid so the chemicals actually reach the garlic before being adultered

    Really informative. You said baking soda in the video but the product you used in the video seemed to be baking powder. Did you mean to say baking powder in the video? Thanks. Happy Holidays!

      Oh holy cow! It is supposed to be baking soda. I was in a hurry to get the video done, looks like I grabbed baking powder, not soda! 😂Well, you’re observant! Thank you for bring that to my attention.

    What do you do with the greens at the end of the first season? Are you just leaving the bulbs in the ground all fall and winter?

    • @Alisorganics
      @Alisorganics  Před 14 dny

      They naturally die off in the summer and I let them be. I leave the bulb in the ground till it’s ready.

    Baking soda, or baking powder? Your bag on the video says baking powder.

      Baking soda! That was a massive mistake. I grabbed the bag from kitchen…. And it was wrong! The bags are almost 😉identical. Good thing people understand crazy busy lives and mess ups happen. So sorry. Glad you asked!

    Interesting. First time planting garlic and added 2 elephant garlic cloves. The elephant garlic was planted Oct and this April - only 6 months (not 1.5yr) and 1 of 2 already has a scape on it. So it sounds from your video it is possible that it doesn't need that 2nd year/ growing season? 8B Oregon.

      I have had mine ready in as early as 10 months only once in all the years I've grown it. That year was very dry and mild. I have a friend in California that hers always is ready with only one growing season and yet another friend up north that always takes two growing seasons. It does interest me as well as to how different it can be. Let me know how yours turns out this year. Thank you!

    When you were staggering your garlic it looked like you were planting them just laying down sidways. I also have some smaller garlic that I'd like to plant. I'm planting in containers. Can I plant the smaller garlic bulbs sideways 2 so I could fit more in, or does it have to be planted with a pointy side stait?

    • @Alisorganics
      @Alisorganics  Před 2 měsíci

      In the video I was just placing them where I was going to plant them. All garlic should be planting root end down and pointy end up for the best success! 😃
