with a free theme , you can only do that on the shop page. go to appearance then click widgets. look for the filter widget and add it to the sidebar. make sure that sidebar appears on the shop page.

hello it is possible, but not using this tutorial. the categories picture will take you to the categories page. to do that we would a completely different tutorial.
Hey, Do you mean product variations like S, M, L, XL, XXL... For something like that you would need a plugin called variation swatches and the product needs to be a variable product. I will do my best to cover that in the next full ecommerce website tutorial.

How can I add a grid to my shop page. This video was so helpful for Home page but my shop page still has items without a grid.
The layout on your page depends on you WordPress theme. If you use a theme like Blocksy it will have the grid and even filters.
