I like to think Cam didn’t actually understand Chinese, and can’t speak it, but he knows a few words that he could use to sort of bluff his way to showing that he understands it. Either way, it shows his intelligence or cleverness.
"How's your Mandarin?" "Not as good as your English." "I see that...you're bringing him (Mitchell) along?" "We have to babysit him." **"Very funny"** "Screw you."
Daniel's (and Cam's) mandarin was on the verge of "Could you repeat it? Aaah, I understand". But the asian woman... I couldn't understand anything at all.
@@hornetkeeperh Definitely not Cantonese, I speak that too Lol....I'm sure they were trying to a peak Mandarin but just nowhere near fluent enough to be understood....
@RingSight91 Probably meant "not Mandarin" as that's the usual dialect one associates with spoken "Chinese". Regardless, I'm pretty certain that's not Cantonese either. If it is, it's super-broken (which makes sense as it isn't Tomita's native language either; she's American, of Filipino/Japanese descent). If I had to guess, I'd guess she's speaking Shanghainese; certain phrases are recognizable as Mandarin-like, nothing else is.
Got to love how Carter and Teal'c were also shocked that Cam knew what they were saying.
Love the bilingual joke ahahah
Ain't no one talking about you behind your back loll
Wait...Cam speaks and UNDERSTANDS Chinese!?
He was probably a firefly fan.
Black ops will black ops? Or whatever the air force equivalent is.
Or had foresight to learn a single phrase knowing Danielle would probably joke about him with the Chinese ambassador.
Yeah he only said damm you .
Just enough apparently 😜
I think Cam is smarter then people realise, like they are all likely genius level intellect
He was a pilot in the Air Force. He would have to be smart if they trusted him to fly.
She sure has a thing for Daniel-sans
Oh right 🤣🤣🤣

Get a room u two 🤣
What'd they say?
when Kamron said very funny...chui-ta or sunita or what ever he said.....what was it he called her?
He said "Screw you." To Daniel.
I could only understand the man said NOT AS GOOD AS YOUR ENGLISH.
Yeah i got that part as wel. I am not sure if the girl is speaking mandarin. The guy at the end said 去你的 ,which just means curse you.
very sloppy though lol
No one has translated this in the comments?
Probably couse know one understands it

@@michaelzellmer3220 Daniel doesn't say they're babysitting him, he says that we're still observing him

Funny...I speak Mandarin but couldn't understand anything coming out of their mouths....
perhaps it was cantonese?

Like when there are russians in american movies/series and no russian speaker understand what they say.
Really!? Are you saying it was gibberish?
@@samgeurdi6351 What the lady says is gibberish, what Daniel and Cam say is actual Chinese and understandable. Kind of ironic
It's not chinese... Maybe Contonnais
