  • TM23 - Tennis Manager 2023 - Guide To Training
One of the parts of TM23 that some people ignore or are intimidated by is training and the training screen. In this guide I'll go through the training screen and explore how I go about training in the game.
Big thank you to Rebound SG (the developers) for providing a Steam Key for the game.

I usually do the heavy training with an extra care session late on the wednesday to keep the phys condition from going down, I found it to slowly go down without it. It should also be mentioned that low phys condition leads to more injuries if I'm not mistaken. So adding a care session on the sunday after an early ko in a tournement, especially if you have another tournement the next week, is important.

Thank you so much for this. Can you make a similar video for the game plan aspect of the game? I intend to watch your let's play videos and hopefully learn something from them as well, but this kind of comprehensive guides is even better.

Hey Guy. Thanks for your comment. There are also some really helpful additional comments from other users which might help you. I will be looking to some more guides and training experiments. The game plan is something I still struggle to get right, so it might take a little longer to put something informative together - but it will happen!

Great video. I got a few questions:
Do you alter your training schedules based on the age of the player? Do you register youth players in less tournaments so they got more training, or vice versa?
Could I give a youth player only training for their first year, or would they get angry, or would this be bad for his growth too?

      Thanks for the comment!
So I believe the older the player gets the more likely they are to pick up injury. You can counter that with some of the infrastructure upgrades and good staff in this area.
I think youth need to play a mixture of tournaments and training, but perhaps you can be more training focused in the first years. You will need to play enough to reach the goals that you have set with the player and with the sponsors.

I created 3 players and selected legend as their potential, but all of them only have 3 and a half stars of potential. Am I missing something?

Sorry mate, I'm not sure. I haven't gone with that potential for my player. Let me know if you figure this out.

Is there a good reason why there is a green care at the beginning of the week? Physical condition is usually near max anyways.
Using automatic training seems to raise natural fitness and tactical skills a lot more than any thing else.
Also, is there even any point of using medium training since it doesnt really do anything different, unless Im missing something.

    • @vemundrnneberg6548

Yes and no, the most important is your physical condindition at the end of the week. However after knockouts from tournements there is no care session at the end of the week in the automaticly generated program (unless you get into the rounds on saturday and sunday), so if you don't add it manualy I think it's nice to have an early one the next week.
I don't find any point in using the medium one. I prefer using the heavy one every week with one extra care session on the day with only one session to not lose any physical condition during the week.

how to find which style the player has? and which skills is needed for each style?

    • @thecustardprophet8434
      @thecustardprophet8434  Před rokem +1

So if the player is one that you have generated you make this decision when you set up the game. However, if the player is someone you have brought into the academy this is not clearly stated. You'll need to look at the attributes that the player has, and the recommended game plans to give you a clue.
I haven't got a definitive list of which attributes work for each style although you can kind of work out much of it. For example, for me a player at the net needs good serving, returning & volleying & probably footwork and reflexes. I might have a think about putting together a primary & secondary attribute list for each player type.

That's what I thought for TM21, but I've really found the training to be useful in TM22 & I expect that to be the same with the new game. I'd suggest revisiting the training.
