Dude, how is this channel minuscule? I think Google/yt has you in the box. If they let you out, you're going to blow up.

Kissing To Be Clever will ALWAYS be THE ultimate Culture Club album for me, I bought it in late 1982 before Colour By Numbers and it remains PROPER Culture Club to me before they became more commercial. As far as Colour By Numbers, the B-Side 'Colour By Numbers' is also my favourite of all the sessions for the album and it wasn't on the album!!!!!! I bought Victims 7" Poster Pack and I always listened to Colour By Number more than anything, timeless ballad and yes, Mistake No.3 is on the same level! Also, Stormkeeper and It's A Miracle from Colour.

Very different. KTBC is a synthpop dance album. CBN is more adult contemporary and far more refined and polished. KRBC is energetic and youthful wheras CBN is luxurious and mature.

His vocals on Kissing to be Clever were so natural, I adore it. He sounded so unpolished. I loved songs like "Take Control" and "You Know I'm Not Crazy" and he had a "Tenor" voice. I thought it was great that he was able to find his voice and use it moving forward after working with a vocal coach on his vocals for the second album.

@@TylerBurnsOfficial Wow, thanks, Tyler! That’s very flattering. Your video piqued my curiosity after I watched it and I actually watched a bunch of your music videos earlier. I like your music! Very cool synth 80’s vibe and you have a great voice. The videos were very well done too. I wanted to save Four Leaf Clover to a Spotify playlist but it won’t let me. It’s grayed out. Perhaps it’s not available in the US for some reason? Where can I purchase your music? :)

@@BroadwayLatinBear Thank you for these kind words! So glad you are a fan. Tyler is in the process of rebranding :) All of the music/videos will be back up as soon as possible.

CBN is a spectacular album. It's simply my favourite album of all time. I agree CBN (the song) is excellent and it's a pity most people haven't heard it. That said, CC DID have the habit of NOT including the title tracks on their albums. KTBC (the song) was never properly finished and remains in demo form to this day. It was included on the 4-cd boxset, though. CBN was the b-side to ''Victims'' in the UK alongside that splendid uptempo live version of ''Love Twist'' from the A Kiss Across The Ocean tour. FLTH (the song) was also just a b-side to ''God Thank You Woman'' in the UK. It's actually one of my favourite tracks from that era right up there with ''Heaven's Children'' and ''Reasons'' - which is the only song on the album that really sounds like CC.
"Life", as we know, is part of the ''Life'' cd. So, the only titles that never became songs were WUWTHOFire and DMIIDo. I once asked Jon Moss if there was a WUWTHOF song and he said no. The other day I heard on YT a song written by a CC fan called ''WUWTHOF". Although it sounds more like something included on KTBC, it's actually very cool. The fan even recreated the inlay sheet of the album to print the lyrics. I asked him to write a DMIID song and he said it's under way. :-)
You mentioned great CC ballads, but I think ''Love Is Love" should also be on your list. To me, it's G singing at his best. His vocals are out of this world. It wasn't released in many countries, but it was absolutely MASSIVE over here in Brazil. It's actually still played today on easy listening radio stations and is included on ballad compilations. It's definitely one of the top 3 biggest CC hits in Brazil - quite rightly so!
Oh, before I forget, I loved the interview! Well done!
I've always wanted Steve to take FLTH and redo it just for fun. I think the result would be amazing. As much respect as I had for Arif Mardin, his sound had nothing to do with CC and songs like ''I Pray'' and ''Work On Me Baby" show that.

Boy George's Voice on Colour By Numbers is Pure Perfection! You can hear Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, and Dionne Warwick in George's vocals on Colour By Numbers. "Changing Everyday" reminded me of Dionne Warwick.

Wonderful interview! So if the song Colour By Numbers was the first use of DX7, l’m left wondering what they used for the steel drum sound on I’ll Tumble 4 Ya, which I always assumed was DX FM synth. 🤯
