you can write on PDF-s with tablets. That IS the game changer for me. and no I do not want to go and print everything out to bath in papers I want one clean digital instrument where I can manage my documents. No carrying papers around.

Maybe I’m late and my comment won’t get seen but with an iPad or tablet you can download pdf files of textbooks. So you save money there. If your professor requires you to print something out and hand write you save money there on paper and ink. I’m also very unorganized with paper and the one semester I did have textbooks, the semester was a drag. Heavy backpack, messy notes… I know that’s a me problem but an iPad cleared that up for me. Plus you can always resell the iPad later, resell on these things are pretty good. Just like in gaming, if I can get an hour for every dollar I spent, it’s worth it.
For sure, but it's not unique to just those two. You can technically do that on laptops as well.
Well drawing tablets and such exist. No need for a completely new device just for annotating pdfs

Great video! Unfortunately, the title suggests that you evaluate b tablets in general while it's mainly about iPad, which in turn spins the conversation around and about price. There are many options to tablets and maybe centering the discussion about the technology and not about the brand would have made a really great video.

I was thinking of getting an a tablet for the complete opposite reason, for pure entertainment purposes. Then id have my laptop purely for work. I find its excessive having a laptop for only entertainment and I do need a solid keyboard for my work device, hence that's what I'm considering
YES that i so me at the moment, i have a laptop which i love to use for writing notes and stuff and also overall for writing. But the reason i'm looking for a tablet is simply to read stuff, be it books or Uni stuff or even my notes - why a tablet over a eReader? Because i would also simply like to use it for comic, manga and also videos, be it movies or stuff for Uni. It feels easier to carry around a tablet if i don't need my whole backpack for everyday and not for every lesson aynmore

I bought an Ipad for university and I sort of regret it, mainly for the problem of added constant distraction.
What would you recommend instead?

@@mr.fantastic7756I’m still in high school, but anything that runs ChromeOS, you should not buy. It has many ways to delete your data without your consent, your options in computer science are *very* limited, it’s very unreliable as an OS, and distractions are way easier, as the search bar is always there and you can search anything and distract yourself.
Definitely going to get an iPad, I’m starting chiropractic school in March. The convince will really help me especially with being able to download and write on power points and there is many programs the school offers that u can download onto it. It definitely will be a biggg chunk of money on top of what I will already be paying but I will definitely be using it to its full extent and I will use the idea of keeping games and stuff like that on my phone so my iPad is mainly for school use only !
iPads are crazy expensive. I went with a Samsung tablet for like half the cost, with a keyboard and pen.
I'd say its almost necessary these days if you can get it. It can make note-taking so much more easier. You can do so much more on it... You can pretty much only use it for all your studies, but store your stuff in the cloud. If you install CZcams and Netflix/Showmax like I did, it can very much distract you.

hey man im thinking of buying an ipad but i wonder if it able to use microsoft 365 and student as my course needed to use those app
- I can type 3x faster
- I can istantly use internet images
- I can draw too if simple
-I can Customize and edit all the mess i made during that hard class i didn't understand and just copy everything
-I can add information from books and researching after the class because the space is infinite.
- You can record in second plan
- You can instantly export your notes to other studying apps like anky droid.
- It is lighter to carry over
-I can carry everywhere saving on cloud, what means studying everywhere.
- My grades sinply skyrocket from 7,0 ≈ 8,0/10 to 9 ≈ 10 in every single subject. which means I would be a laureate if I had used this from the beginning

I'm looking for a tablet to use for school because I am dyslexic and writing comes harder for me. And I write better with a phone right now lol and I also have to cut down on paper cause my room is already a mess lol
i don't know man, I was thinking structuring diagrams, and do a lot of visuals and sketches on my notes
So, my family finds laptop to be too expensive so I want to ask them to buy me tablet instead. But the thing is I am a bit scared that tablet can't replace laptop's purposes in univ ;(
Although they can get the job done, you'd be better with a second-hand laptop than a new tablet. As the guy mentioned, it's more a convenience than a necessity.
If tablet is the only option really, I'd go for a samsung s6 or + for the dex mode.

A samsung tablet is more than PERFECT.
I just got the new iPad pro m2 11inch and immediately changed it for the tab s9+ and keyboard for the same price as the iPad and pen alone. Also the tab s9+ is 1.4 inches bigger which is a huge win and the don't let me start with the Dex mode.
