  • Hey Everyone! In this video, I faceted a D20 from a beautiful piece of Lepidolite! This stone was definitely a bit tricky to work with, but the final result is absolutely stunning. This stone's unique glittery finish and vibrant purple color makes it perfect for a truly magical D20. I love the way it catches the light and brings out the stone's natural beauty. Let me know what you think in the comments!
    This D20 could be yours! Check it out, along with several of my other stone and gemstone dice at www.SageAndNettle.com
    Thank you!!!

    Stunning piece and love the extra facets to soften the corners. Can't believe you're only at 400 subs, with this level of quality of both work and video.

    I’m seeing a dwarf Cleric using this beautiful stone.

      Oohhh! I could totally picture a Dwarf Twilight Cleric! A Cleric serving as a guardian to a sacred crystal cavern where the stars can be seen within the stones, a connection to the sky far far above. Perhaps a Cleric of Selûne? 😊

    Just finished watching through all your videos, and I gotta say your progress is amazing! This one is by far the best yet with the bevels and video quality, the pacing felt very good and the music was timed well. I think this die would work very well with my current Kenku sorcerer with ties to a dark celestial being.

      Thanks so much, that's very kind of you! I put a lot of effort into both the dice and the video, and I'm glad that shows through! 😊Ooo, that sounds like a fun character! The die definitely fits well with the ties to the dark celestial being for sure!

    Congrats on upgrading to chamfers! (Bezels) It certainly takes the look up a notch! How much do you think it would cost to get into this as a hobby? I feel like it would tickle a corner of my math brain in a good way.

    Absolutely gorgeous d20. Love your videos and hope you become more popular. If you facet other things like gems that would be cool to see to!

      Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! I have a handful of rough gemstones and some nice designs that I've been wanting to cut, it's just a struggle of finding the time to do so, haha! Once I do, I'll make sure to record them as well! 😊

    A beautiful die. Though with how soft the stone is, I'd be afraid of it breaking any time it's rolled.

    • @SageAndNettle
      @SageAndNettle  Před 4 dny +1

      Nahhhh, the softness is only really something to be aware of for me while I'm carving it, and to take in to account for the design. Now that it's completed, It'll be totally fine to roll without issue, especially with the bevel design. I just recommend that it be rolled in a felt or leather lined dice tray, and rolled away from other dice, just to be careful. If you're careful, and take good care of it, it'll last for years 😊

    Do you take commissions? I have a stone I'd love to have made into a D20. I'm not sure what it is. It's a translucent purple with a white/tan exterior.

    • @SageAndNettle
      @SageAndNettle  Před 5 dny

      Unfortunately my commissions are currently closed, but dice will still pop up in the shop as they're completed. If you’re interested in a custom die, or want to be notified when commissions open, sign up for my email list on the Contact tab of my site, and you'll be the first to know 😊

    Is there a reason to not paint the numbers immediately after sandblasting, before pealing the stickers off?

    • @SageAndNettle
      @SageAndNettle  Před 3 dny

      Honestly, I never really considered it. Another person brought it up to me just recently as well, so I'll definitely be trying that on my next one. 😊

    Can you facet metal like copper or tungsten ot titanium?

    • @SageAndNettle
      @SageAndNettle  Před 2 dny

      Honestly, I'm not sure. Many metals are softer than the gemstones I work with, so I think it might work. Though I wonder what kind of wear that would cause to the laps. I'll have to look into it in more depth and get back to you. 😊

    pick a random rock from your yard and make it a d20

    • @SageAndNettle
      @SageAndNettle  Před 7 hodinami

      My very first d20 that I cut was just a random rock from my yard. You can see a small gif of it on the "my story" tab on my website! I still keep it on my desk, and I hope to make it into a piece of jewelry pretty soon! 😊
