I used a 5 fan laptop cooling pad made for a 17 inch laptop which blows the exhausted air up. It works the same as the AC Infinity Aircom unit. The laptop cooling pad has a usb end which normally would be plugged into the usb port on the laptop to power it but I connected a usb wall adapter and pulled it straight into the wall. I got lucky that the laptop cooling pad had a off and on wheel which also allowed me to adjust the air flow as well. I purchased it at Microcenter for less than $15.00 my Onkyo TX-NR receiver was running extremely hot before I started using this setup now it stay cool to the touch even after having my receiver on for 2 days straight.

I'm using the T10 for the my Marantz SR5012 (primary hometheater) and now just picked up the smaller S7 for my Onkyo TX-8270 (that use for my PC audio). The S7 is a cute little Aircom unit. I really like 'smart mode'. Very cool.

Will be getting the T10 soon.
That ones allows you use your own settings when your Avr gets warm. For $100 is a deal!

Most audio owners forget that some amps run hot, they put them in cabinets or shelves...then electronic Gremlins thrive in the high heat....they use similar fans on laptops and pc's....so glad u created this video..because any hot running gear, this is a must have. BTW....I worked in mfg and shipping....power plugs are wrapped to protect them from scratching the gear in transit.....saved us a lot of returns due to equipment being scratched. I would like u to do a video on a line conditioner, voltage regulator.....etc....something like I use, the Panamax M5400-EX line conditioner.....cleans up AC noise, protects equipment, a may marginal improve sound on hi end gear and music....at least it protects expensive gear like your fan idea!

Any of us Onkyo owners know just how important something like this is. I have a "broken" receiver in the garage just in case the DTS chips fail on the HDMI board. (The board does work on that one.) Onkyo should have used heat sinks and a 72mm fan above the HDMI board to stop the heat issue.

I have 2 of the S7 double fans on my Onkyo HT-R693 receiver and it never even gets warm. I leave them on high plugged into the USB port on front of the unit which powers on and off with the unit power switch. I paid $20 each pair. for a total of $40. You do not need a thermostat. Keep them running while receiver is turned on and you should be good to go. I can not hear mine running while on high.

My Vizio M series 50" 4k tv went out a couple of months ago. I wish I had put fans on it. I am going to purchase a 65" 4k P series Vizio soon. It was definately heat that killed my tvI will not let that happen again. 4k tv's have excessive heat issue's. The manufacturers do not mention this nor do many put fans in them. The life expectancy is not as long as it should be. With fans that will change considerably. Amazon sells a fan kit for a plazma tv but it will work on any tv as long as vent holes on the rear panel are in the appropriate location. I will probably piece my own fan kit for mine because of the vent hole locations on the Vizio P series. Good luck with your avr. If you have any questions just ask.

The do different exhaust directions on the ac infinity dont they? So you can buy them according to where you are going to install them? Between 2 pieces of equipment for example, you would buy the lower intake with the rear exhaust? So it doesn’t blow hot air into the component above? Also don’t they come on at a certain preset temperature ? A little like auto on/off? Been a while since this video. But I thought I’d been through all you’re videos 🤣🤣. Clearly not 🤣🤣🤣 👍🏻👍🏻
