Hi, Mustafa : I totally agree with you that Yellow’s cover of this song “Oh! Your Sweetness” is very theatrical like a movie and a story is unfold in front of us both by the lyrics and his mixed styles of vocal and body performances.
So far, I have watched 5 live performances in this Chinese Music competition show. I was surprised by Yellow’s strength in interpreting a song through the psychological side of the narrator of the song by using his wide-ranged styles of vocal performance. Actually,l feel like he is using the sounds as a language ( instruments and vocals ) to relate a story to the audience. More precisely, his various vocal styles are depicting an image of a sceen like a movie. In this performance, I saw a man distressed by the recent separation with someone to whom he was so deeply in love with but yet separated because he was treated so badly in this relation.
Rock n rock style portraying his passion in this love ; whereas blue/soul style vocal performance indicating he is so heart broken and like most people who are in this love situation, he is ripped by two sentiments like a yo-yo. The original song which is released in 1996 doesn’t show this aspect and was primarily a teenager’s popular song. If Yellow didn’t cover cover and reinterpret it, I would never listen to it. I encountered Yellow’s CZcams channel during the pandemic lock down, his work ( such as beanstalk) is a hidden gem for me - a great local musician. But through this show, I find I still underrate his talents. He is a very impressive artist devoted to the Music.

Yellow is indeed still as crazy as usual in this sixth episode which is also the best so far. Shang Wenjie's appearance did not disappoint us (she's too excellent as always), Tia Ray's was fabulous in her jazzy introduction ("At last"), but her song "Bored" seemed a bit boring to me. Sun Nan confirms his emotional power, classic but effective. And the young Zhang Yu Qi made Wenjie happy (Wenjie was her teacher when she was a child). That said, she seemed less spectacular to me than when she was 10-12 years old.
And, of course, I will say nothing about the Western barbarians who are coming to invade our beautiful China. 😂😂
Hahhaha Yes, Tia was a little dissappointing but still cool. This week is a dream week for me 😁🤘
