      that's why you have to do this kind of things slowly, allow yourself to get used to it. I for example am trying in the moment to stop drinking so much milk. When I'm able to do that, then I'll go for butter and yogurts, then eggs... until eventually I become practically vegan

    An ESXJ’s Tertiary Ne being more open than an INXP’s Auxiliary Ne makes sense to me since Tertiary Ne is a child function and is more optimistic while the Auxiliary Ne serves as a parent function and is more cautious and harder to get past.

      It's more a fact that INxP use their creativity to fuel an exhaustive search for their Fi/Ti truth. They just prefer accuracy to efficiency. Unlike Te or Fe users, they keep all branches open until their logic/emotion finds a contradiction but any contradiction means they move straight on. Whereas the Te or Fe users choose the most efficient path and look for problems, and would rather find solutions on that path than try other ideas.
      Ti/Fi use Ne to decide on their choice. If Ne doesn't work to make a decision and multiple paths are okay, they use Si to think what is most likely to work based on experience. Then either go to Fe and think what choice helps others or others are emotionally happy with, or begrudgingly go to Te and pick one/ask others what to do. They hate this
      Te/Fe use their dominant function to decide, and Ne to problem solve on that path, then use Se if their path doesn't work to improvise a solution. If they are taken out of the present they'll either use Fi to emotionally pick another valid path quickly, or (just as unhappy as the others) go to a Ti or Fi/Ne brainstorm.
      Both groups get real frustrated when they go to their inferior or especially the shadow functions as it feels anti their identity. Te/Fe were inefficient and took a lot of time, making themselves feel like a poor decider and Ti/Fi had to pick without enough information or conform to the group, making them believe they weren't calculated enough

    I always thought I was an INTP before running into your channel. Your points about Se types thinking in physical terms, drawing associations based on visual (or otherwise sensory) similarities, eye movements, etc made me start thinking I might be an ISTP. But your description of auxiliary Ne here resonated with me a lot

    ugh the inferior function struggle! Si doms can tell you in two seconds if an idea is good or bad but take forever to implement them. I've been trying to meal prep for weeks now, I've made lists and charts, talk about it all the time, watched like 20 youtube videos but I just keep making dinner the same way I always do! :''''''(

    Interesting subject matter, as an ISTJ I would say I have a lot of abstract ideas but if I can't see a real world application for them I abandon them quickly, as for not considering a different way of doing a boring repetitive job I would say not accurate assessment of how I would think about it, I start with the premise is this the most efficient way of doing this job then work out a routine that maximises my time and effort and then apply that diligently happy in the knowledge I'm wasting the least amount of time for that job no matter how boring it is, but I will be happy to change if a better way can be shown to do it but less enthusiastic to change something just for the sake of changing it without a tangible reason.

    I took an mbti test that also ranked my functions independently: INTP with Ni > Ti > Ne > Fe > Fi > Se > Si > Te. Ni dominance seems both weird for an INTP and makes a lot of sense to me personally. My Ni and Te being diametrically opposite really reflects how frustrating the feeling of being a visionary with no follow-through has been for me. Calypso and Co, do you have any insight into what may be going on and what to do about it? Thank you!

      Mori W my guess is that they like to systematize things so much so that they don't have to expend mental energy thinking of new ways to do some random task. For them, keeping things organized and clean and consistent means they are actually fully prepared for when someone comes and surprises them with a change of plans etc.! As an ENTP I tend to be that way about certain monotonous things, such as ironing a shirt (i do it the same way every time--etc)

      I just asked my ISFJ (pretty sure she is) mother what bores her and she said fishing cause just sitting there waiting to catch a fish sounds really boring to her. But at the same time, she doesn't mind walking around the waterline and sitting in a park listening to birds or people watching. The funny thing is though she hates housework and admits it.

    Hi could you help me know if I'm INFJ or ISFJ please? I'm not sure If I'm Ni - Se or Si - Ne. I don't know if I have difficulties accepting new facts or information or new concept and patterns... Examples in my life: I hate doing the laundry or having to go back to the store or doing housework cause I'd prefer to stay in my head and if something hors wrong with the laundry, I get scared I might do it again. If an object is misplaced, I don't get irritated by that. I just ask where it is and if they can put it back in the same place next time. At school, we were doing an exercise in Excel with a new method and I asked if I could use the method I already knew, I was wondering why it wouldn't apply here and the teacher said it couldn't apply here and stated facts and I accepted them. Did I have issues with new facts or new concepts? Thank you a lot!

    Jordan Peterson is an INTP
    HARD. He literally talks in abstract terms all the time when linking together ideas and he uses metaphors all the time. This is indicative of a high-level Ne user.

    • @Ignasimp
      @Ignasimp Před 4 lety +1

      @@Ignasimp Agreeableness is not a nature personality trait it is a nurture personality trait. The big 5 tests for nurture not nature like MBTI. I agree with you though, INTPs are not typically agreeable. My best friend is an INTP and he always thinks he's right lol. But that just makes an ENTP like myself have fun as it's a challenge.

    • @Ignasimp
      @Ignasimp Před 4 lety +3

      @@Kristofferrea the big 5 traits are not just a nurture thing. They can be changed but they are quite stable through live and strong T types tend to be disagreeable, while F types tend to be agreeable.
      I'm a heavy Ti user while my sister and my mom are strong Fe users which is the cause of most of our conflicts at home.

    • @Kristofferrea
      @Kristofferrea Před 4 lety +8

      @@Ignasimp You really shouldn't judge it by T user and F user as it shows a misunderstanding of the cognitive functions as Fe and Fi and Te and Ti are incredibly different. High-level Fi users are absolutely not agreeable at all as Fi users are all about their opinions and values and it is incredibly hard to convince them that they are incorrect as they don't use Ti which is logic. I would hypothesise that higher level Te and Fe users are more likely to be agreeable due to the functions being extraverted.
      Your functions are not set in stone as well. You can develop your weaker functions to be just as strong if not stronger than your primary functions.

    So for me I've made big changes such as meeting a man and moving to Australia to live with him for a year then moving away again. Getting engaged pretty quickly a few times when I was younger. Oh and moving to the Middle East with my family and now Asia. Becoming vegan and then raw vegan. Then ditching that because we all got sick. Then trying again a couple of years later.
    That points to either ENFP as opposed to ISFP does it? What about ESFP...
