Another nice video, Jamie. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. One question. You use Super Glue to join fuselage halves, doesn't it come apart afterwards while handling the model? Maybe I am using the wrong Super Glue. I use Tamiya Extra Thin and Revell Contacta (a thicker Extra Thin) for joints like those shown in this video and never had a problem. I use Super Glue mixed with talc as very efficient putty though...
Hi Juan, thank you. This black superglue is great for fuselage halves. It's is very strong and is slightly flexible so has more shear strength where ordinary superglue can be brittle and crack. The reason I use it though is when dry (straight after accelerator in my case) it can be sanded straight away greatly increasing speed of construction.
Great work!!...I have read that the real plane had all the fuselage panel lines puttied...🤔 Did you break off the rear wheel during constrution??......cheers
It did, but it would be a crime to cover up all that amazing surface detail! And yes, I seem to do that on all 109 kits, I wish they could design them to insert at the end!
