They did release a song prior to this - unforgettable, which was the pre-release for the album! I heavily recommend giving the MV a watch it's gorgeous

I think part of the reason its not exactly like a oneus song is because raven had less of a part in this album. Not that its bad but I think that is just the piece that makes it different. Love oneus❤
It's funny that you found the sound to be very different because I felt the opposite actually! Not that it doesn't sound different - it certainly does - but it felt to me like this song has a hint of every one of their previous titles and ties them together in a way? It felt to me as though Oneus found a sound that tied all the rest together. The choreo definitely mirrors parts of previous titles too (the ending pose like TBONTB and I see hints of CBH and Twilight as well). I think the biggest difference sound-wise is the structure of the verses in the song. I feel like the song follows the same overall song structure, but the verses are split and distributed very differently among members. Hwanwoong and Xion having much longer verses as opposed to pieces here and there throughout or the bridge, for example. I felt the rap portions also blended in and matched the sound of the song more than in previous tracks? The breaks in the sound fall in different places. I also felt that this song encompasses the sound of Same Scent/Valkyrie with the energy of Bring It On/No Diggity. (Not sure if I'm making sense right now, but that's a summary of my initial thoughts haha.)
I am back because after listening to the song more and also being more awake lol, I totally get what you mean about the "new category" thing. I still feel that it's partially an amalgamation of all previous titles, but there's so many aspects that differ from each individually, that it can't fit into any existing category. This ought to be the "magnificent orchestral version of Oneus" or something XD
Seoho ate up the ending of the song and left no crumbs- the deep ass "erase me", the high note, the CHOREO.
it feels like valkyrie's prechorus, come back home's chorus and same scent's intrumental to me.
