    I'm starting to think Milwaukee can't make a decent jigsaw, my 18v is useless. This is a good review with well detailed criticisms, nice work dude.

    I’m a plumber and am using this jigsaw, so far I’m loving it. Nice and compact with a little bit of punch, definitely as much as I’d need. Dust lower and vacuum would be nice like you said tho

    Thanks for the review. I was comparing the Ryobi 18v and Milwaukee 12v jigsaw and despite liking the lighter weight and smaller body of the Milwaukee I think I'm going to go for the Ryobi due to the blower and and locking trigger. It's also $40 less. Really appreciate that you reviewed both.

      Like you mentioned it wasn't a bad little jig for the price HD was offering that day, but at full price it has a few issues that need to be resolved. I didn't like the fact it lacked a dust blower also.

      I was curious, what are your thoughts on the m12 jigsaw?

    • @DarkRaptor99
      @DarkRaptor99 Před 10 lety

      ToolCrazy I think its pretty decent considering that its only 12 volts like you mentioned it has a few shortcomings but I don't use a jig saw that often so It doesn't bother me as much. It I was using a jig saw ever day I would buck up and spend the money of a Festool Carvex even though that's a tough pill to swallow. Some tools its hard to justity the cost I think Festool took the jigsaw to another level with that one. I think for my use its a damn good jigsaw, but could use some improvements to take it to the next level My friend also wanted to get the jigsaw but they were sold out by the time I got a hold of him that was an amazing deal for 59 bucks that's what a charger and battery costs.

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 10 lety

      Yeah the runtime is great, it lasts longer than the multitool. I can't believe it cut 30.9 ft of 1/2" OSB and thats with my old battery. Too bad it doesn't have a dust blower, its the only negative that matters.

    Really helpful review here Javier because I was on the fence about this tool and then when you mentioned the few cons at the end I know for sure now I'm waiting for the fuel version. It will be my first Milwaukee tool so I'm going to get the fuel hackzall at the same time since that appears to be the best little recip

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 10 lety

      Jeremy Neill Thanks Jeremy, I still think its a great little jigsaw. It might take a while for the fuel version to be released, they haven't even announced it and they just had the milwaukee symposium but you never know, I think the m12 fuel hackzall came out of nowhere so there might be a chance for a m12 fuel jigsaw. If you can find one for $60-80 in a kit I would go for it. Its on sale every so often. Expect to see a few more m12 videos soon

  • @gc1370
    @gc1370 Před 5 lety

    The back of the saw sure looks like it would fit the m18 vacuum port. I thought you were missing the attachment, but I looked around online and couldn't find anything that suggests the m12 version comes with one or that it could be sold as a separate accessory. mind blowing really.
    The reason I love the milwaukee jigsaws are for that little plastic insert that you hate 😂 I really like the shadow line that it makes on the work piece. If you can keep it dust free, its a very good guide. just my two cents though. thanks for the review!

      Here's the definition from Wikipedia " "Aerobic" is defined as "relating to, involving, or requiring free oxygen",[4] and refers to the use of oxygen to adequately meet energy demands during exercise via aerobic metabolism." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerobic_exercise

      @vrr2201 Před 3 lety

      @@ToolCraze Isn't it same as what he pasted? It's same in Google search. So I am trying to understand here. Are you calling using the jigsaw an exercise involving high use of oxygen or you meant the usage needs steady breathing like when you meditate?

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 3 lety

      at Achilles, what I meant in the video is that because this particular model jigsaw doesn't have a dust blower that clears away dust from the line of sight as you cut, you will get winded from having to constantly blow the dust yourself. The whole aerobic workout reference is really just a play on words because breathing has a lot to do with aerobic workouts. But I did get tired from using this jigsaw and having to constantly blow the dust myself, sort of how you get winded and out of breath when inflating a beach ball by mouth. Even then when I say out of breath, I'm exaggerating but the point is that in my case I got annoyed at having to constantly blow the dust away myself.
      There are other jigsaws out there that have dust blowers to clear the dust away from in front of the cut line, and this model doesn't have that feature. To some it may matter like myself included, however it might not matter for others but I was trying to be as complete as possible as I am in all my reviews.

    What do you think of the Skil brush 20v jigsaw ? I want the Milwaukee as it’s a good deal batteries included and I have more tools but coming from a Skil powered cord one I liked the blower mode and dust collector and on it’s sale price now it’s 90$ w battery kit of course new platform but I’m getting maybe more but idk who has really tested the warranty and longevity of this Skil one that is 2-3 years old we’re the Milwaukee was is older and we could say early development

    Good review! It looks like the tool has a lot of advantages but I agree that the front blower is essential. I can't say that I use a jig saw on a daily basis, but I can say that that is always a battle I face. I hope to see it as an addition on the next model.

    I wanted to like this jigsaw, but there were just too many things wrong with it and is probably due for a quick redesign.
    My biggest problem is the lack of dust blower or vac port. I'll take one or the other just so I can see the cut line. Otherwise, I've powered through 1" hard maple with an edge guide and I'm happy with the power especially for a sub-compact tool.
    The second issue is, Milwaukee, please add a trigger "on"" lock. After several 2' long cuts on hardwoods, my hand has essentially turned into a claw holding down the trigger and guiding the saw. Need a water or beer break if I'm at home so the forearm pump can be relieved.
    Other than those two, I can certainly live without the pendulum or orbital action, but the Bosch compact 12 volt offers a blower, trigger lock, and orbital settings, for just slightly more, but then one would have to invest in yet another battery system.

      The bevel switch fell off mine, i had to return it.
      The switch was vibrating allot while using it, within 10 secs of cutting it would get loose ruining my cuts because it dropped into a angle, eventually falling out and disconnecting the how shoe (bottom with it)..i tried screwing it back but it appeared to of been stripped or missing a washer ring or needed one in the flat area where the switch goes., Amazon replaced it.
