- Beef ribs (Dino Ribs) are a BBQ Game Changer and they are so easy to make!
Rub was simple: 1 Part Salt, 1 Part Black Pepper, 1 Part Miner's Mix XXX Garlic Rub

Note: If I were to do the 3 part rub again I would cut the salt in half because the Miner's Mix already has salt in it.
Smoked at 300, Wrapped at an internal temp of 180, pulled them when they became #probetender

Few tips from my expierence with beef ribs... Score the membrane (I do an X). Try no wrap but leave some fat on the top for moisture and flavor. Oven rest, mine goes as low as 170, less messy/stinky in the cooler

If you like these ribs try beef back ribs smoke for 2 hrs at 275 then wrap for 1 hr then sauce at the very end something sweet. Not as much meat but tons of flavor.

I’ve done beef ribs about a dozen times. My wife likes them better than brisket. Look for what is called the ‘plate’ rib, they have 3 bones instead of 4. To me, they are tastier.
I'm checking Sam's for beef ribs, and they have a variety. Are those beef back ribs, short ribs, spare ribs, etc? What do I ask for at the butcher?
Ask for Dino, Plate or Short ribs. They are all the same.
I like to separate my ribs before I smoke them so I can get rub all around the rib

Which smoker do you recommend? I have the cuisinart but it is falling apart. Screws keep popping off and stuff so wanting to get a new smoker.
Might be a dumb question but what does one part mean . In the seasoning if I’m tryna make it .
So if the rub has just salt and pepper, you could say one part salt, one part pepper and the ratios would be 1/2. The amount you use can vary just make sure they are equal. If you want to try this out I would do start with just 1/2 salt and 1/2 pepper. The garlic season I used had a lot of salt in it so it made the rub wayyyy to salty.

Doesn’t the meat get cold resting for 90mins?
The internal temp drops from 204 to 140 which you will enjoy a lot more. Resting also helps pull all the juices to the center of the meat. 💦

@@GrillSergeant had a crack today and screwed up my temp control. Got the ribs to 92 degrees in 5hrs. They were pretty tough to the touch & not probing nicely. I left them in the BBQ with all vents shut off for 2hrs. Significantly softened and were super yummy. Fantastic advice.
