Actually, it needs to have an expertise to unleash the full potential of a Soviet/Russian aircraft. Whereas western aircraft makes the life easier for a pilot because of the concoctions of different advanced system and weapon packages. It is true that mirages & mig 29upg have still service left. But for the 1st time we need to have jets before the need arises to replace those & to increase the squadron strength so that the condition like mig 21 never ever arises again.
Had previous government been serious about LCA, it'd had been( present government) ordering Mk2 instead of Mk1A. Nevertheless this 83 Mk1A order is still like 1 giant step for Indian aerospace industry opening multi, micro sub- industries hub for world chain line. Ofb & Hal if not reformed are hurdles though.

The problem is no one mentions that this is our jump from Marut to a 4th gen fighter. The technological maturity takes time when u don't have allies helping u out. Also, youtubers should know that no RnD project has a strict timeline because u can't say that the tech that u r developing now will be ready in 5 yrs. It might take longer. If u should compare anything, compare the development timeline of Tejas Mk2 with that of Mk1. Then u'll see that after the tech has matured, it didn't take us long to get Mk2. Def Matrix bhai, u should understand this. RnD is a tough field and delays are inevitable when it comes to key components.

Actually, it needs to have an expertise to unleash the full potential of a Soviet/Russian aircraft. Whereas western aircraft makes the life easier for a pilot because of the concoctions of different advanced system and weapon packages. Stories are good but loosing of assets (including loss of experts) is not acceptable.

The fact is Tejas is indeed a failure - Not only domestically but specially Internationally. At the end the extension of Army, the IAF will be buying foreign jets, the sooner you will accept the failure the quicker you will be able to find a solution to that - PAF will be flying their 5th Gen jet before your Tejas is able to be operationalized into IAF.

Biggest issue of Russia's jets are they work fantastic in cold European climatic conditions and that doesn't cause too much service issues over there but in India's tropical hot climate they need more servicing at more intervals
It is true that mirages & mig 29upg have still service left. But for the 1st time we need to have jets before the need arises to replace those & to increase the squadron strength so that the condition like mig 21 never ever arises again.

Had previous government been serious about LCA, it'd had been( present government) ordering Mk2 instead of Mk1A. Nevertheless this 83 Mk1A order is still like 1 giant step for Indian aerospace industry opening multi, micro sub- industries hub for world chain line. Ofb & Hal if not reformed are hurdles though.

The problem is no one mentions that this is our jump from Marut to a 4th gen fighter. The technological maturity takes time when u don't have allies helping u out. Also, youtubers should know that no RnD project has a strict timeline because u can't say that the tech that u r developing now will be ready in 5 yrs. It might take longer. If u should compare anything, compare the development timeline of Tejas Mk2 with that of Mk1. Then u'll see that after the tech has matured, it didn't take us long to get Mk2. Def Matrix bhai, u should understand this. RnD is a tough field and delays are inevitable when it comes to key components.

HAL Marut was a very good aircraft at that time even western countries were aware about this aircraft that's why they haven't provided a suitable engine for this particular aircraft. And not to forget Pakistanis that in 2019 Mig 21 had shot down your F16 both are different generation aircraft, and Tejas MK1 is a replacement for Mig 21 so you can Imagine how deadly this aircraft will be for your JF17 The Great 10th Generation cum Space Ship.
It's in the interest of Russia to commit to full TOT mig 35 to India. Its a win win for both of us.
